How has the disgraced, CONVICTED FELON, former but once again President Trump pissed you off today? (Part 1)

Trump really does turn everything to shit. Awarding the Presidential Medal of Freedom to the likes of Devin Nunes and Gym Jordan is a sick joke.

My guess would be that the traits that made you a billionaire – business savvy, competitiveness and relentless greed – don’t switch off just because you pass a certain threshold of wealth.

And if you’ve inherited your billions, your single largest financial incentive is to protect them.

The real-world evidence suggests that becoming wealthy is at least 50% luck, if not more. It is no accident that the term for a lot of money is “a fortune”. Really rich people are at least partly aware of this fact (as shown by the fact that they reject its validity with vehemence) and are keen to protect their winnings as much as possible.

Yeah. When you have too much money to actually spend, it becomes all about keeping score. About your position on the Forbes 400 list of the richest people.

Trump has been, infamously, obsessed with this list.

Oh, yes. The news the past couple of days has been full of ‘Trump campaign officials are trying to get Trump to stick to policy issues and drop the insults’ because they know the insults lose him votes among the crucial undecided/swing voters.

But Trump knows he’s entitled to his fun. The fear of prison would be the only thing that could cause him to give up that fun—and he’s been assured that GOP officials in the states will contest the election, throwing it to the House of Representatives (where he’s assured of victory because the vote happens by state delegation, not by Reps.).

His win is a lock. So he won’t give up his fun!

Maybe they will… The Military Times has an online front page article about it.

ETA: Ditto the Air Force Times has it as the top story right now. Ditto Navy Times, Marine Times – though it looks like the same story for all three.

ETA2: All the Times papers are from the same publisher, rated unbiased by a site I checked.

< aside > Are there ANY red state delegations that would refuse to throw an election for the sake of the Cheeto-faced dictator? It would just take a couple who actually put the country over one single mentally declining individual. I mean, there must be SOME who would see that this might just be a poor idea going forward, right?

That’s right, but the Contingency Election plan (as described on the Center for Politics page linked in my post) requires only that no single candidate win 270 votes—and even if some battleground state officials don’t play along with the Trump plan, enough likely will so that the ‘throw the election to the House’ strategy could work.

As I’m sure you know, Georgia is currently under a microscope for its recent changes to election rules–changes that Mr. Disgraced Convicted Felon publicly applauded:

I think there’s a thread that goes into this in detail (not sure whether in the Pit or in P&E) so I’ll leave it at that–but both the Sabado link and the one here are worth reading for those wondering what Donald is thinking about his chances of victory despite, quite possibly, losing the popular vote by MANY millions.

Pretty much. It isn’t about wanting to actually use it to buy things, they can get anything they want so material possessions are irrelevant. its about keeping score. To them the value of someone as a person is directly proportional to their wealth. So the the only real purpose they have for their money is to use it to make more money.

IKR? Her wikipedia article says that she’s a philanthropist, but howzabout going for HIGHER taxes and being a benefactor to the nation?

(P.S. IKR? is an initialism that can be translated as: “I Know, Right?”)

Palm Beach Florida residents are annoyed at road closures around a certain property, caused by security concerns. The property is right next to one of the main roads onto the barrier island that is Palm beach, at its intersection with the main north/south road. Essentially, closing that road makes large parts of Palm Beach difficult or impossible to access – and there are other people living in that area. So, the city council is considering ordering that property closed, so that people’s lives and fall tourism will not be disrupted for the sake of some pseudo-rich guy.

It’s a very sad thing that that they measure their worth is in $.

People that have no self value other than how others see them are clearly dangerous.

She’s also a medical doctor, working at one time at a Tel Aviv ER and later specialized in helping drug addicts. Her mentor and colleague was the person who developed methadone therapy for heroin addicts. So yeah, I don’t think “trophy wife” applies.

I will say, though, that it’s probably a good thing that Trump is acquainted with a drug addiction specialist, since his administration handed out controlled substances to staffers like it was candy. Maybe introduce her to Elon while he’s at it.

The other 50% involves a lot of pulling up their bootstraps.

When the poors don’t even have and can’t afford the bootstraps to pull themselves up with, things might have gone a little too far.

Just a smidge.

Not that the ‘we earned everything we have’ crowd would ever admit it.

You’ve got to invest in bootstraps if you want to get anywhere in life. That’s why I’ve created #Bitstrapcoin. Invest now and you’ll be able to pull yourself up today!

Was #Ponzicoin already taken?

Probably, along with #YetAnotherWayToGriftYouSuckers.

But what does P.S. mean?!

(Kidding)

“Taking the piss?”

huh
