How has the disgraced, CONVICTED FELON, former but once again President Trump pissed you off today? (Part 1)

I’m sure they will be when Trump hits on them.

well, there was this

Girls in my day, they didn’t say ‘ew’, they would say, ‘why do they call this plane the Lolita Express?’ And we’d say, ‘don’t worry about it, sweetheart.’ Never ‘ew’.’ JD Vance is ‘weird,’ he’s my special boy.”

Interesting piece on how the media is “Sanewashing” TRump’s incoherent outbursts:

It does have a high score on the Satire Convergent Adjusted Reality Estimate (SCARE) index.

“They’re so weird” isn’t really that different from “ew”, so it’s actually pretty close to the truth.

I can’t find the article now, but Trump had a speech where he insisted Walz is weird. ‘I’m not weird. you’re weird!’ ‘No puppet! No puppet! You’re the puppet!’

He was accufessing to his own accufessing, right there in the open. Oh, Ouroboros, you taunt us.

Not when you’re a god.

All the ‘the chosen one’ talk is giving me The Bard’s Tale flashbacks. Well, not flashbacks so much as earworms.

Oh, it’s bad luck to be you.
A chosen one of many isn’t new
When you think you’re full of luck
in the bullock’s you’ll get struck
Oh, it’s bad luck to be you.

and so on.

I’m having flashes to the end of Ghostbusters. “Are you a god?”

Do god’s go squish…?

Maybe it does not really belong in this here thread, but it is a classic that needs to be appreciated. I am given to understand that this, like many magazines, usually puts more words on the cover, such as would highlight content inside.

October issue already?

Political messaging aside, that is some beautifully-done artwork. Positively lush.

I think that it’s only fair that ABC be allowed time to respond to Rump.

ISTM that one more crime I haven’t seen Trump called out for here or in the media is his repeated claim, in the debate and elsewhere, that he will negotiate a deal to end the Ukraine war before he’s inaugurated.

Our lawyers will correct me if I’m wrong, but AFAIK, that would be a violation of the Logan Act, which prohibits private citizens from negotiating with foreign governments. If he were an incumbent, he’d be free to conduct foreign policy after election day, whether he won or not. But he’s a private citizen until the moment he’s sworn in.

He was accused of possibly doing this when he met with Orban last spring.

So once again, he’s admitted his intention to break the law. Why hasn’t anyone called him out on this?

Because nobody believes he has any actual intention of doing so, nor has he made any actual moves to do so. Any charge against him in that way would only help him claim he’s being unjustly persecuted.

Compared to the hundreds of other lies and threats he’s made, this one ranks waaaaay down the list.

No words needed for that gorgeously horrible cover. That is a ‘picture is worth a thousand words’ situation, right there.

He has a concept of a plan to move to do so.

@Great_Antibob has a point, but the Orban meeting DID happen. No hypotheticals involved there.

So I’d say that ‘everyone knows the Supreme Court has Trump’s back’ outweighs ‘nobody believes he’ll do it’ as the reason that no one has explored convening a grand jury over the violation of the Logan Act.

It’s also worth remembering that Trump got away with having his people–then federal employees–violate the Hatch Act up one side and down the other. The entire nation has pretty much gotten used to “INACWTDI” as the principle protecting him against all consequences of his blatant law-breaking.

“It’s Not A Crime When Trump Does It,” of course.
