You can say that again.
Ah! Well done!
In my case, I wrote “”, and it came out blank.
Might have to remember that.
ETA:
ok, um, I wrote the “<” sign and then “deleted post” and then “>” sign.
Except that he wasn’t tried criminally for rape. Should have been. CIVILLY LIABLE is about the best we can do.
Use “adjudged rapist”. That’s what the judge opined. NY State law makes a distinction between a thumb and a penis in choosing 'Sexual Assault ’ vs. ‘Rape’. The judge wasn’t feeling it.
Judge clarifies: Yes, Trump was found to have raped E. Jean Carroll

Just throw in a comma. He’s a criminal, because of the felony convictions, and he’s a rapist because he’s a rapist.
ShitGibbon wants an investigation into short sellers who “manipulated” the stock price of his media thingy.
Also an amazing idea I’ve seen suggested: Biden steps down now. Harris becomes 47th President and does a bunch of popular stuff. Then the MAGA folks have to spend time getting rid of the popular stuff, and all of Trump’s 47 merch is no good.
I heard that too, and it’s a lovely idea.
Joe will never do it, of course. He’s already hurting from being a one-term President and he’d never agree to be a less-than-one-term President.
(Though on the merch—I don’t think Donald would mind being able to collect TWICE on all that stuff.)
Too cutesy by half, anyway. A majority of American voters, much as it pains me to admit it, have said they don’t want Kamala Harris to be President. To make her one now, even if just for a few months or weeks? I don’t think so. There’s nothing stopping Biden from doing the same “bunch of popular stuff” now if he wanted to.
About 90 seconds. A worthwhile watch.

Yes, though one advantage of Harris getting in is that she MIGHT want to. Biden almost certainly won’t.
There’s a long list of things he really should do, but won’t. Top of my list, I think: starting the process—one with long historic precedent—of making the number of SCOTUS Justices the same as the number of US Courts of Appeals.
The number of days between the death of Ruth Bader Ginsburg and the assumption of office of Any Coney Barrett: 39. (18 September to 27 October, 2020.)
Biden has, as of today, 70 days.
He could do it. It has historical precedent (reconciling the number of Justices to the number of Courts of Appeals).
But I suspect he’s too…you know.
And that pisses me off about Trump. (Good save?)
He could do it IF no Democrat Senators, or rather Independents who caucus with the Dems like…say Krysten Sinema or Joe Manchin decided to gum up the works because they felt like it.
Manchin has generally been good on judicial appointments but on something like a precedent setting (and I don’t think he’d be convinced by the Court of Appeals argument as being precedent) change to the number of SCOTUS justices, he’s been less reliable. And Sinema can be counted on to do whatever keeps Sinema in the spotlight, which does not exactly build confidence.
While this sort of plan might work, it could also more easily be remembered as a closing failure in an otherwise largely successful term in office, albeit one already marred by that election. That sucks, but that’s the reality of the tenuous grasp the Democrats have had in the Senate for years now.
I don’t disagree with you; Manchin and Sinema might well decide to do as you say. (‘Money changing hands’ can’t be ruled out, either.)
But the effort would at least break through into the information-desert that most Americans, we now know, live in.
Biden won’t want what you suggest: a failure on his record. So he won’t even try.
But he should.
ETA: He should also install all those missing Inspectors General. Again, Trump will fire them all—but that’s a good headline to have.
Or this: Biden has Trump executed by Seal Team Six since the President can act with immunity (and impunity) in killing off a political rival, claiming he was acting as President in the best interest of the nation.
Asking Congress to pass a law? Could in theory draft something, and get some Senator and/or Representative to submit it, but it certainly won’t pass the House and it dies when the next Congress is seated in January.
Seems very likely.
Which makes me want to do it that much more. Sure, it’s a stunt, no policy changes or legislation to implement. But a giant middle finger to the people who just fucked us over.
Biden won’t do it. He sees it s his duty to uphold the norms that Trump pisses on.
So Harris becomes 47, making Trump 48, and – in theory – screwing Trump for all the “47” merch he shelled out for?
Hm. How could that plan fail?
SCOTUS disagrees because reasons (specifically a Democrat did it) and Biden dies in prison.
I expect that’s how that would end.
