He already tried that. Just killed people and ruined about 2000 peoples lives.

Yeah, there are plenty of well-informed people of good conscience who are (reasonably) horrified by Donald’s Big Insurrection-Act Adventure. But at best they might be a third of the population.
(Can’t help thinking of the immortal quip by Adlai Stevenson:
Supporter: “Governor, every thinking person will be voting for you”.
Adlai Stevenson: “Madam, that is not enough. I need a majority.”
But apparently they were not horrified enough to bring themselves to vote. They knew what was at stake but decided to sit it out, more than 6.2 million of them.
The third I was talking about were the people who DID vote to stop Trump. (By voting for Harris, whether or not they were personally enthusiastic about her.)

Also most (all?) of the WC games are not in Boston proper. Foxboro is very much a suburb. I know there was some chatter about Everett having some (or was that if they build the stadium there having them at some future date) but Everett is… not what I would call a suburb even if it technically is.

Meidas Touch is reporting that Trump is planning on firing live missiles into the Camp Pendleton, California area, ostensibly to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Navy. It just happens to coincide with the No Kings rallies this weekend.
Gavin Newsome is taking it seriously enough to speak out about it.
But he backed off on actually closing I-5 after initially saying he would.
Who knew there is a way to make I-5 more hellish?
South of L.A. you have Orange County and San Diego County. In L.A., when I lived there, we referred to Orange County as ‘Reagan Country’ and ‘Behind the Orange Curtain’. I lived in San Diego until I was 15. One morning as a child, we found Nazi newspapers on everyone’s lawn. David Duke, once Grand Wizard of the KKK, lived in San Diego. So it would be great if a whole bunch of Trump voters were ‘inconvenienced’ by closing the 5.
(OTOH, Politico’s map shows that all of California’s coastal counties, except for Del Norte County, voted for Harris. Things in SoCal seem to have changed a bit in the last 22 years.)
