The “art” is my own. I wanted to use an inverted shamrock sort of like a maritime signal of distress (inverted flag) and I didn’t know that you can hang a tri-color flag like Ireland’s vertically to signal distress (this would be a good Trump, “few know but us mariners you can do that”). And the Scottish flag would be the same, though it might be sailing under the British flag.
Yet it didn’t seem sufficiently appropriate for Trump or his lackey’s “tribute” to Ireland and for whatever reason I couldn’t just greyscale without going nuts on the height and width so that one (don’t have photoshop on this computer) is where I ended up.
The fact that Donald Trump even got to be POTUS at all, and then got elected POTUS for a 2nd term due to his being an overgrown combination of a schoolyard bully and a spoiled brat pisses me off even more.

It has been suggested that in the the Gaza war (from hostages to invasion) and the anger at Colombia University were being stoked by an invisible hand on both sides. Could that invisible hand be MAGA, doing their best to split the progressive voters?

This many days (weeks) in, from what I can see, Elon hasn’t actually saved the USA any money. He CLAIMS to have done so, but most of his claims are apparently things like claiming he saved money by (supposedly) ending a contract that was due to end in December 2024 anyway.
Of course Trump’s golfing wouldn’t cost taxpayers nearly so much if he wasn’t making personal profits off charging the Secret Service for the space they use at his clubs to set up their command posts and such. But Elon would never say a word about any of that for fear of being shoved off the gravy train.
I’d like to say this is the worst of it - i..e. the reverse of the calm before the storm.
Yet it’s not. In the pseudo-SOTU speech the Democrat side was faced, pointed at and called - I’ll just say traitors because it wouldn’t have mattered and doesn’t now.
If there is a Congress in session, not a single Executive Order will be challenged. And the real danger is if they reach SCOTUS, they will neither refute / admonish or do anything a lower court would consider punitive.
And when - and it will - happen, the USA will be an absolute dictatorship. I saw it all happen in Russia - of course no great democracy in the 1990s - yet dissent was crushed, as well as anything like “freedom of the press”. Yeah, big “beautiful” ocean and it can’t happen here, yet Thomas Jefferson would tell us all it’s happening right now.
He indirectly pissed me off by driving me into a rage this morning when I saw a black pick up truck with a trump sticker on the back window and the license plate DJT 47. I’m fairly sure it is the same one I saw some months ago that had a trump flag waving from the bed of the truck. And they were dropping of their child at school, not in the drop off area, but by taking up two parking spots next to the car driving lane.
I really should not feel such real ire toward someone I don’t even know, but here we are.

He rarely pisses me off, but I live far away, and do not watch TV.
But when, by mistake, I hear his voice… i mean, his face is pretty punchable, but his voice is what grates me. That lowering of pitch at the end of what passes for a sentence! I’m no linguist, nor a grammar expert, so his errors in those areas just elicit a Homer Simpson style “DOH!” But just his style of speech…
At some campaign event in 2016, he went onstage with that song playing. And later there was a parody which he’d likely claim authorship of, Les Déplorables. or at least taking credit for suggesting the ugly woman is locked up (I’ve no idea yet that sounds like a thing he’d enjoy)
It appears (or is likely a certainty) that he only knows the superficial aspects of plays & film. He likes “Citizen Kane” as Kane’s rise to power and wealth he relates to, especially how Kane goes Chapter 11 bankrupt seven times yet never Chapter 7. Oh, wait, that’s Trump. He has advised Kane to “get a different woman”
He likely would not know the director, screenplay writer or lead characters real name (all of which are Orson Welles.) “Oh, Orson Wells. I liked his Time Machine movie, didn’t read the book”
Welles was about as lefty-progressive as you can be without being called a commie. Helps to be friends with Roosevelt and Churchill. A raconteur at least at the level of Richard Attenborough. He didn’t say much about Presidents since his support for F.D.R. (even calling for a fourth term which happened and was underway) and if he’s lived 10 or 15 years longer, it’s hard to say what he’d have said about Trump, yet it’s a good bet “Citizen Kane” would NOT be Trumps favoriite movie any longer.
If he somehow privately bought the Kennedy Center (not that it was for sale) it would be Chapter 11 by Christmas, after trying to do end-runs around the unions for his Cats with only female characters, and his Les Mis without that distracting revolution stuff. When the “Lee Greenwood Christmas Spectacular” sold 30 tickets he’d have his eighth Chapter 11. As President/Chairman, he can scapegoat The Democratic Mayor, Governor, and threaten to deport all the union members to the San Salvador Supermax for sedition.
