Doesn’t she always, other than she stops and pouts… erm scowls at the camera.
Maybe she’s just thinking about how badly her movie has been doing at the box office.
Vance, at least, spent four years as a Marine but the orange anus has not. Stupid cap or not as a civilian he does not salute like that; he has not earned the right.
No, there is no law regarding such but, like countless other traditions that were never codified into law he has dropped trou and shit all over it. I can’t wait to uphold the tradition of pissing on his grave.
This probably won’t be in his security briefing in the morning. (Who are you kidding, Steve, a Sunday briefing? Hell, even a briefing). Putin’s ass-wiper.
Happened last night.
But JD Vance is not serving any longer and isn’t in uniform so should he also not be saluting?
Strictly speaking, no, but you know the whole “former Marine” schtick. Cadet bone-spurs, OTOH…
trump is as vile as humans get. But Presidents have been saluting troops or coffins or … since a long time ago.
I remember a RW propaganda move where they took a pic of Obama saluting, reversed it so it appeared he was using his left hand, then plastered it all over Faux as proof, proof I say, that Obama is an unAmerican anti-patriot. Or stupid. Or both.
The hoax was easily uncovered, but of course Faux’s customers never saw any of that and probably still believe it if they remember it.
Trump totally exhausted my slack-cutting willingness quite a few years ago. I’d criticize his goddam red tie if I thought it would make any difference.
That clip was from Trump’s first term. Fox is freaked out by the hat. They’ve since apologized, but still haven’t shown him with the hat.
Ronald Reagan started the tradition of saluting as President. Before that it didn’t make sense; it’s a civilian position, and the person is at the top of the military chain of command.
But Ronnie was an actor, and he wanted to look cool.
Yes. As I mentioned above, Fox News not only showed old “hat-less” footage on their shows, but also featured it on their website. As of now, they’ve removed the old footage from the website and have no video at all. The page is dominated by pics of the troops and the coffins, with two long-range shots of the official spectators (including the hatted Donald). No closeups of Donald in his hat.
As the Tennessee Holler reported, when Fox News confessed to the “error” (sure, Fox, “an error”) they tried to make up for it by actually reading the names of the six dead service members. But they didn’t show the correct video. So Fox News viewers don’t know that Donald wore his hat throughout the transfer.
This link has a video showing one of the Fox News broadcasts yesterday, pretending that ol’ Donald had respectfully doffed his cap:
Another hot take from the past. It’s as if he’s Nostril-dam-us. 3/16/2012.
Anything it is involved in has had it Dignity erased.
Trump has fired NTSB board member Todd Inman, without cause.
Inman is the second board member to be fired, as Trump tries to reshape the independent investigative agency to his liking.
Inman had been extremely critical of the Army and the FAA in the DCA midair collision. Trump no likey.
Last thing in the world we need is to have Trump dictating investigations.
Nostra-dumbass.
It’s the long-dreaded zombie apocalypse.
“All of the people that died through the roadside bombs. Died and are right now walking around with no legs, no arms.”
Well, many of those who lived do have prosthetics, but yes, he’s still a moron.
I once saw a short Army Signal Corps film of JFK returning the salute of a military guard standing by his helicopter. Reagan wasn’t the first President to do it, but he certainly popularized the gesture.
Of course JFK actually served, Reagan was an actor.
To be fair, Ronnie did serve. Most men of his generation did.
Lieutenant Reagan was ordered to active duty on April 19, 1942. Due to his poor eyesight, he was classified for limited service only excluding him from serving overseas.
