My only guess is that these people want to be a bully. Just like Trump is. And of course they want someone else to do their thinking for them.
It’s an absolute disgrace that we may never recover from.

His supporters don’t see him that way: they see him as a strong, confident, intelligent, successful person, who “says it like it is” (i.e, tells them things that they want to hear, and tells them that they are special), and will bully people whom they think should be bullied. Any information that would paint him otherwise is either (a) not even something that they see (because they only get their information from right-wing sources), or (b) dismissed as “fake news.”
That’s precisely what I find so sad. I never fully understood The Emperor’s New Clothes until Trump came along. How anyone can view Trump as strong or competent is beyond my understanding.
If he wasn’t asleep then he was rudely ignoring all the people trying to get his attention as his eyes were closed.
Also tells them that in addition to being special, they’re victims. And then goes on to tell them who/what is responsible for their lives not being the utopia they feel they’re due. The list changes depending on current circumstances, but includes browns, blacks, immigrants (though not those from Nordic countries or South Africa), libtards, Jews, George Soros, “woke,” and others too numerous to mention. So remember, if you’re a white Christian male and not sufficiently privileged … it’s them!
Completely this. He’s a criminal. An incompetent one at that. He should be boo’ed out of every event he attends. To the point the the show can’t go on until the asshole leaves.
Indeed - I got a question wrong on today’s Jeopardy! broadcast. “In 2025, which country supplied the most refugees to the US?” I thought it must be Afghanistan (forgetting that I was off by a year or two). The correct answer was indeed South Africa – quote a jolt.
He’s been a very successful criminal.
Trump? I remember someone suggested that he would have been wealthier if he had simply invested the money left to him by his father in the stock market. In other words, many of his business deals did poorly.
Oh, I suppose. He has managed to stay out of prison. Where working on that though. And he knows it.
A 34 time convicted felon. 7-11 wouldn’t hire him.
He could just buy a whole chain of 7-11s; he has pocketed billions of dollars scammed out of people since taking office.
Being a convicted felon would shame someone with a conscience, or sense of decency. Trump just uses it as “evidence” that he is a martyr and a victim.
Yeah, he could buy 7-11’s, hope he doesn’t because they can be handy, I would prefer they don’t go out of business.
Trump’s War on Science continues apace.
Trump fires the entire National Science Board
Yes, his businesses failed. But he set up the grifts so that he gets his money upfront. Also, he’s raked in billions from stealing from taxpayers in the last year
Yes but until he became president, he wasn’t as rich as he claimed or as rich as he might have been with passive investing of his family money.
Nevertheless, he still criminally raked in millions (maybe even a billion) and was never prosecuted. Even if he could have made more in the stock market, he made more with his illegal schemes than you or I ever will through legitimate means, and he was never prosecuted.
Christ. He just fired the National Science Board. They have a bit to do with the National Science Foundation (NSF).
They are all very smart people I am sure. And Trump can’t understand a bit of it. But somewhere somehow in what is left of his brain he realizes that they are WAY smarter then he is or ever was. So of course, fire them.
The first thought I had was “bull in a china shop”. Lo and behold that turns up a TEN year old article. For some fucking reason we locked the bull in the china shop ten years ago.
What could possibly go wrong?
Thankfully there is no one with a vested interest in making sure that is possible.
