How has the disgraced, CONVICTED FELON, former but once again President Trump pissed you off today? (Part 2)

America’s highest ranked felon declares himself king:

But in a post on his social media platform Truth Social on Wednesday, Mr. Trump went a step further, likening himself to a king as he celebrated his administration’s move to kill New York City’s congestion pricing program.

“CONGESTION PRICING IS DEAD. Manhattan, and all of New York, is SAVED,” he wrote. “LONG LIVE THE KING!”

The White House then reinforced the message, recirculating it on Instagram and X with an illustration of Mr. Trump wearing a crown on a magazine cover resembling Time, but called Trump.

Last month Ezra Klein noted that Trump doesn’t really want to be President: he wants to be king: “Trump is acting like a king because he’s too weak to govern like a president”. Prescient. I take it MAGA agrees.

I see where Hegdeath says he’s going to fire top generals. I’m assuming he will then install generals that will do what Trump tells them to do. This is quite possibly the most alarming thing he can do.

Time to bring back Schoolhouse Rock.

Trump has no idea how to be a King. If his ideas on how to be a King come from pre 1066 AD, then he has a thousand years of learning to catch up on. Namely, a King has to operate within Constitutionally-approved norms. As we’ve seen within such Constitutional-Monarchies as Spain, Canada, Australia.

Trump thinks it’s 1215, and he can tell the barons to shove Magna Carta. Well, the barons are not going to, Trump, and … aw, the hell with it; who knows what this bozo will do next.

Trump again saying – against all evidence and common sense – that Ukraine started the war and that Zelensky – not Putin – is a “dictator”

At least when Germany claimed that Poland was responsible for starting World War II they came up with an elaborate ruse in the form of Operation Himmler (AKA Operation Konserve) as window dressing to justify the invasion. Trump (and Putin) doesn’t even have that.

Operation Himmler - Wikipedia.

Just … bizarre. (But then, everything he does qualifies as ‘bizarre’ at best). What is he hoping to gain? Public opinion? Does he think we’ll say “Well, I didn’t realize Zelenskyy was a dictator! That changes everything! Go ahead, give Putin everything he wants.”

Let’s face it, the MAGA masses probably will do.

His adoring idiot masses believe whatever comes out of his mouth. Even the stuff that contradicts the other stuff he said 5 minutes ago.

Nothing in his life has ever led him to believe he should ever actually consider the veracity of his statements. At best, his lawyers have gotten him to just shut up for a few minutes while under oath.

His adoring masses are seeing nothing about his Ukraine talk right now. If you go to Fox News and search the main page, which has a couple hundred links to “articles”, for Ukraine, can you guess how many linked articles you’ll find? If you guessed “zero”, you would be correct.

Now, go to any other large mainstream news website and can you guess what the main article is front and center?

Also that

But it’s clear these folks are getting a lot of stuff from social media, and their feeds are choked with Russian propaganda

Of course they are. But they aren’t seeing what the rest of “us” are saying, and that includes Republican politicians saying Trump is wrong about who started the war.

Yet another example of Trump’s psychological projection:

Trump Spent 4 Days Golfing After Saying That Remote Workers Are Lazy

Feb 20, 2025

Last Thursday, Donald Trump signed an order directing all remote government workers to get back into the office. While signing it, Trump falsely claimed that many of these workers were spending their days playing tennis or going golfing instead of working, implying that all of these people are lazy. Trump then got on his jet and headed to Florida for four straight days of golfing after calling other people lazy. Farron Cousins explains what happened.

Yes, I imagine Trump thinks all these overpaid, lazy, remote government workers are just spending all day at their country clubs because that’s what he does. (I know there are public courses and courts, but I doubt Trump has ever played on any.)

So little time, so many holes and sets to play.

I’d love to see that fat, out of shape, lazy excuse for a human being play even one game of tennis, much less a set.

He’d collapse from the movement involved in just one or two feeble attempts at a rally, and it’s much harder to cheat. I doubt he’s in sufficient shape to handle pickleball, much less tennis.

There’s photos of Trump playing tennis albeit they’re probably pretty old. The ones I usually see posted are showing his gut and/or shit-stained shorts to mock his “athleticism” and incontinence.

Trump still going on about “Governor Trudeau” and “Canada as the 51st state” crap:

I think what he is wanting to gain is blatantly obvious. He is trying to weed-out those who might stand in his way. It’s just like the “stollen” election thing all over again. Any congressperson(R) who has stated publicly that the 2020 election was fair and honest has either publicly recanted or are no longer a member of Congress. It’s easy. You make an absurd claim and you find out real quickly who values honesty over loyalty. Those are the ones who have to go.

So far, both Sen. John Kennedy (LA) and Sen. Roger Wicker (MS) have disagreed in the press with Trump concerning his opinion of Vladimir Putin. Kennedy doesn’t carry a lot of political power (although he is strongly anti-abortion, which gives him some cred). Roger Wicker, however, is the ranking member and chair of the Senate Committee on Armed Services as well as vice ranking member of the Commission on Cooperation and Security in Europe (and other committees). Wicker has some weight to his power in DC. It will be interesting it see how it fares.

Not that I approve of either Senator, but I see why Wicker felt he needed to say something. Trump is destroying everything he has worked on for nearly two decades. I’m hoping it sinks Trump.

For Christ’s sake.

Let the record stand that, in the unlikely event that this lummox, his minions, and the wankers that elected him, succeed in annexing my country, I will never be a loyal American. Canada took in my family and spared it the experience of having to live through a bloody war in the old country. Canada is a freer and democratic country than his (If nothing else, we have women’s rights explicitly codified in our constitutional rights instrument. If nothing else, we have more than two political parties to chose from. If nothing else, patriotic though we may be, we don’t have an urge to declare up and down the land how we’re the best damn country in the world and how we should be an example for the entire world to emulate). Should they take down my Maple Leaf, I will never reverence the Stars and Stripes, which for me will remain a symbol of imperialism.

That out of the way, I feel there’s a piece of the puzzle that’s sorely missing here. The 51st state? Calling that notion sophomoric would be doing it too much justice. Canada is already a conglomerate of “states”. It is a federal country to begin with. We call them provinces, but there are 10 federal jurisdictions that are like US states as things stand. And there are 3 further federal jurisdictions styled “territories” (the equivalent of American incorporated territories). This all is supposed to be one gigantic state (a state roughly the same size as the entire present USA, WTF?!?!?!), with Trudeau as its governor? You’ve got to be kidding me.

Now, I would expect a wanker like Trump to conceive such an ignorant proposition, but take for example this Canadian professor who in this video discusses in brief what it would entail (before concluding, rightly, that it probably will never happen.) It is disappointing to see a constitutional expert follow Trump’s line of thinking and not include the eventuality of individual Canadian provinces becoming individual states in the discussion. How exactly would Canada becoming one ginormous 51st state be supposed to work? Would all provincial and territorial governments and legislatures be abolished? Would the Parliament of Canada become a State Legislature? Would provincial laws become null or be grandfathered pending Canada-wide laws that would cover all subjects not reserved to the US Congress uniformly across the entire “state of Canada?”

Hopefully, we’ll never need to find out the answers to these, as it were, completely academic questions.

It’s big and cold like Alaska so what’s the problem?

Yes but to make you feel better, they’ll work on abolishing or at least making irrelevant the existing US state governments too; no need for them to have power, that all belongs to Trump now.

wrong thread

Guess we should have seen this coming.

J6 Prison Choir to Perform at Kennedy Center (Yahoo link)

During an appearance at CPAC on Thursday, conservative activist and Trump ally Steve Bannon shared that the J6 Prison Choir, which is comprised of men previously imprisoned for their involvement in the January 6th United States Capitol attack, will soon perform at the Kennedy Center. Bannon said he was informed of their invitation by Ric Grenell, who was recently appointed by Trump as Kennedy Center’s interim executive director.
