I think we have different definitions of “major”. St Louis has a much lower population than such luminary cities as Louisville, KY or Memphis, TN or Portland, OR among several others. It’s one reason they lost the Rams to begin with.
And that’s only if we’re counting cities in states without 2 or more NFL franchises, in which case San Antonio, San Diego, and others (who are already teaser cities that don’t really have a shot at the moment) would come first.
DC itself has a larger population and access to a vastly larger one by including pretty much all of northern Virginia and small bits of neighboring states that don’t already have allegiance to Baltimore or other nearby teams.
That said, I imagine his “negotiations” with Josh Harris or the NFL are going to work out about as well as those for his foreign trade deals. Namely, mostly abject failure with the few “successes” working out vastly better for the other party.
I liked it better when Washington called themselves FootballTeam. They should go back to that. Like all the British teams that just call themselves (hamlet name) FC.
Relatives of 82-year-old Allentown resident Luis Leon are headed to a Guatemalan hospital Saturday in hopes of reuniting with the man they say disappeared without a trace into the American immigration system a month ago—and who, for a time, they thought was dead. The last time anyone in the family saw Leon was June 20, when he went with his wife to a Philadelphia immigration office to have his lost green card replaced.
Finally, on Friday, a relative from Leon’s native Chile was told he had been taken first to a detention center in Minnesota and then to Guatemala.
This shit needs to be broadcast everywhere. This needs to be on the air 24/7 through the midterms. This is evil. This is Trump’s America.
See, here’s a similar solution: The team can be called the Red Skins: Red, as in the color associated with Republicans, and Skins, for the golf term and we know how much Trump loves to golf.
The Skins Game was an unofficial-money event on the PGA Tour from 1983 to 2008. It took place in November or December each year after the end of the official PGA Tour season. It was recognized by the PGA Tour but did not count towards the official money list. [snip]
The Skins Game differed from most PGA Tour golf tournaments in several ways. Only four golfers were invited to the tournament and the golfers played to win individual holes or “skins” in a match play format.
Nothing racist about it at all. No possible connotations, except for what the woke left will see. I know some will think “golf term for football?” But they are both played with a ball and a score determines the winner–practically the same thing!
