Texas has a very good school system but it is ranked low due to Simpson’s paradox.

OP - Employers don’t give a damn where you grew up, where you went to school, what rankings your state has. Employers want well-spoken, engaged employees who interview well. And really, then it’s a foot in the door. My company is a multinational Fortune 25 company. You get hired in, you can apply for jobs anywhere within the country.
