Jesus would be a better candidate.
So, just what in the house needs cleaning? Specifics, please.
Disagree—not a natural-born citizen, so ultimately that would be just handing a win to the competition. Plus, I question the effectiveness of a candidate who speaks neither English nor Spanish. He’s also going to alienate anyone who’s hawkish on Israel or Ukraine. I can see the opposition now: “you’re advising Ukraine to turn the other cheek while Putin’s tanks roll in?”
Edit: assuming he is actually the divinity, I suppose he could manage to reincarnate sometime in the 1980s and be able to serve, but then that gets into tricky questions about the Quaternity that I think even the Evangelicals are not up to.
There’s some spots under the sink that havnt been scrubbed since who knows when, I guess…
Look, face it, if we dug up freaken crook Nixon - he’d be better than trump. I have a plush wolf that my wife gave me- it howls when you push on one ear- it would make a better president- and it was born (made) in the USA.
I’m sorry, I don’t watch foxnews. What the actual fuck are you talking about? What the country needed was someone like Biden, and thank god we got him.
Amen!
My main problem with the undead is that it sets a precedent for endless Trump runs. I’d really like his death to end his candidacies, as it has for all the others. I won’t wish death on him, but I will observe that his overall health and lifestyle means he’s close enough to it that I’m pretty confident that he won’t be available for a run in 2028.
Who said anything about UN-dead?
An old yiddish saying “from your lips to God’s ears!”.
“We need Trump to do that thing he didn’t do the first time” is not a compelling argument in the first place, even if you agree that thing needs doing.
You mean the thing he was never gonna do, and had no intention of doing?
I think Nixon actually cared about the United States. Don’t get me wrong, Nixon was a crook. But unlike Trump, I think Nixon on occasion considered what would be good for America.
Excellent addition to the American Political Lexicon!
That’s a Yiddish saying? I say that, and I’m not Jewish!
“We had to destroy the country in order to save it.”
Hello there!
Please give us three (3) things that need to be fixed in the USA. Be specific. For example, more specific than “end corruption” or “clean up the place” etc. And also, they have to be actual things that are occuring. For example, if you say “stop open borders”, this cannot count, because it is based on a falsehood (the borders are not open - this is a falsehood being peddled by certain moronic media).
Then, please tell us how Trump will solve these three things. Specifically, exactly what will he do and who will help him.
In order to do anything sweeping, trump would have to assemble a team, and we know the caliber of people he employs- the guy’s a reprobate magnet. Nobody of any quality is going to want to be subservient to this humanoid. He should just get on his fucking jet and go settle into the luxury dacha Vlad has reserved for him.
My suspicion is that it would be a Potemkin dacha, and once installed there alongside some obnoxious goats and a particularly poor heating system, he would be quickly forgotten by Mr. Putin, and powerless to leave.
Kind of like jail, but colder and more frustrating. Like, “almost free” but not free enough. And a life sentence.
Also the gold would be cheap spray paint. Vlad is not going to waste rubles on that. Because I am cruel and heartless, I would allow him a 300 baud modem on an intermittent phone line, so he can keep up (so to speak) with the news, but it would be on a heavily loaded ADSL connection that doesnt allow much output.
Also, don’t forget to mention how they’re going to get paid for. And don’t say “Mexico will pay!”
Ironically, Biden managed to achieve what Trump never even intended to: he got Mexico to agree to spend $1.2bn on border security.
Biden also passed the infrastructure measures Trump promised and did nothing about for four years. He brought manufacturing jobs back to the US (unlike Trump, who expanded his own businesses in China). He cut the deficit (unlike Trump who promised to but greatly increased it instead). He has strengthened America’s geopolitical alliances and power (unlike Trump who undermined our allies and kowtowed to hostile powers). Unemployment is at record lows, domestic energy production is at record highs (plus we are now heavily investing in green energy), stock markets are doing well, the post-pandemic inflation spike was brought way down quickly, and the border is actually more secure than it was under Trump.
And of course all the allegations against Biden of corruption, criminality, sexual predation and general creepiness (including against minors and his own daughter), being beholden to China and Russia, etc etc - none of those things have been substantiated for Biden, but all have been about Trump.
Which brings us back to the thread topic of why Trump - who delivered nothing he promised, materially made the country a worse place during his tenure, and is still facing a long, long list of criminal charges backed by a mountain of evidence - is still a credible candidate.
And the answer is: because his supporters don’t care (as Jordan Klepper famously once discovered). Trump was right that he could murder someone on Fifth Avenue and his supporters would still vote for him. They don’t care what he really is. They just care how he makes them feel, no matter how far from reality that may take them.
He made the country a worse and more deadly place.
He went one worse. As far as I’m concerned, he murdered more than one million Americans.
