Yes! I just don’t get the “Ugh! I guess I’ll hold my nose and vote for the lesser of two evils” sentiment. Biden has been terrific.
A small sidebar-why did he say Fifth Avenue specifically?
Support has cratered, in the sense that hardly anyone is showing up outside the courthouse to cheer Donald on. And I think that a January 6 repeat is unlikely. But there are many millions who mildly dislike Trump but are strongly enough anti-anti-Trump to vote for him.
I just came across an outstanding magazine article showing one slice of what anti-anti-Trump can feel like:
Progressives may be repelled by the fact the above article is on a center-right web site, and say that the thoroughly never-Trump article author is only a few steps removed from the anti-anti-Trump guy he profiles. This may be true! The farther removed you get from Trumpworld, the harder to understand his appeal. (The linked article is also at The Atlantic, but there it is behind a paywall.)
Because that way he can just point the gun out his apartment window.
Q.Q. isn’t wrong – but I think it’s basically that Fifth Ave. is the Main Street of Manhattan. (Broadway is a close second, arguably).
Trump Tower is on 5th Avenue. He was saying he could just walk out of his business and shoot someone.
Very interesting, thank you.
Doing something outrageous “in the middle of Fifth Avenue” is a phrase that long predates Trump.
Heck, even Republicans like Lauren Boebert, who voted against the infrastructure bill, took credit for it in her district.
Wow, Kim is quite an insufferable, self-important, conspiratorial asshole and crank.
Why, I’ll bet his name isn’t even Kim!
Another victim of bad keming.
D’oh! My eyes aren’t what they used to be. I read it as “Kim” each of the dozens of time I saw it in the article.
In parallel, they want government out of their lives, except when they want the muscle of the state to protect them from their slaves.
Kirning?
Kerning. With an e.
And I’m pretty sure that putting an m instead of rn is a deliberate joke.
Kirn with an I.
As was “Kirning”.
I don’t think this endorsement will have a large effect on the race, but hopefully, it’s another burr under Trump’s saddle.
I want the burr on top of the saddle. Or on his courtroom chair. 'Couse he may not feel it because of his Depends.
(yes I know burr under the saddle is a standard saying).
Ohhh. I want a Barr under the saddle. That bastard deserves it.
