I went to bed at 9:20, but it was New Year’s Eve, so I figured I could live it up for once!
And here I am on New Year’s Day, up until almost 11:30. Going wild in 2013!

I’m in California. We watched the ball drop in NYC at 9pm local and then we went to sleep. I had to be up at 0445 today (zero dark early) to drive my son to the airport.
Daddy gets plenty of sleeping in, both days on the weekend and every day so far this holiday… I’m the only one who gets up at night too (although our girls are excellent sleepers) so he owes me big time! Feeling sorry for you though, and you well know what you are about to face, best of luck for the upcoming arrival!
I was asleep by 10:30 after some long driving Monday. The neighbor’s firecrackers woke me up at what had to be midnight, but it was over quickly, and I was back to sleeping like it’s my job.
Watched a movie until around 10:30. Went to bed and read until I fell asleep with the light on. My son was at a friend’s home with parents and video games so I was free to relax.
Went to bed between 3 and 4. The dogs woke us up at 7, so we didn’t sleep much. Went for a long walk in the woods, came home and made an onion, potato, and goat cheese frittata.
About 2am I guess.
Are you my wife?
Around five a.m.
But that’s common with me when I don’t have to get up the next day at six a.m.
I had my lights out around 11:20, and remember hoping that I drifted off early so that if there was a neighborhood cheer around midnight it wouldn’t disturb me.
I don’t remember any cheer, or anything else around midnight.
Fell asleep around 9 pm–about the usual, since I have to be around 6 even on days off. I expected to be briefly awake at midnight when some of the neighbors start shouting “Happy New Year!”, honking car horns and maybe setting off a firecracker or two, like they do every year. But if they did that this year, I must have slept through it. The next time I opened my eyes, it was nearly 2 am.
Went to bed at around 5pm, got up for a “bed picnic” (Chinese food delivered) at around 8, back in bed at around 9 to watch a movie where we both struggled to stay awake. Up and alert at 11:30 to watch TV, fell asleep at around 12:15. Up again at 9, finally had breakfast at 2:30 pm.
As usual watched hopefully that the London Eye would break loose from its moorings and go spinning down the Thames like an enormous Catherine Wheel. Maybe next year. Then faffed about until after 2am or so.
Had a nice meal cooked by Mrs C, and polished off a bottle of champagne and most of a bottle of red between us. Went to sleep about 1.30am and got woken up by C Minor (16 months) at 5am. Then went to work for a 12-hour shift
I was at an awesome house party with some friends and we must have been up until at least 3 a.m. or so before we nodded off. We woke up again around 5:30 for the people who had been waiting for the first metro.
