1:00 am CT. Missed all the nerve-wracking parts.
i watched until 10:30ish est, then went to bed with the radio on. i woke up around 1am and heard that fl was close and leaning toward bush. then the bush win, recount thing and by 4:30am i decided i wasn’t falling back to sleep and had to be up by 5:am so i got up and watched abc and cnn until i left for work at 5:15 am. more listening to the radio until 9:am. won’t tomorrow afternoon be fun?
i did muster a laugh when peter jennings announced around 3:am that the new york times stopped the presses. i could just picture the scene there. save those newspapers folks it could become your social security.
I stayed up until 2 because I had to be at work at 8. When I was leaving this morning I saw that someone had drunkedly written “What the hell is wrong with this country?! Bush is a fucking monkey!” on my dry erase board. Ruined my morning.
I was up until 3am. I went to bed when the networks finally admitted they didn’t know what the hell was going on and it would be at least a couple of days before anyone had a clue who won.
