How many countries have you been to?

Keeping in mind that I have lived on this planet for a mere 17 (by a hair, my birthday was just a little while ago) years, I have been to:
Japan
Morocco
Algeria
Jordan
Israel
Lebanon
Syria
Tunesia
Egypt
England
France
Monaco
Italy
Belgium
The Netherlands
The Bahamas
Mexico
Canada
US

So…more countries than years. I wonder how that I can keep that up.
(Most of this is due to my parents’ love of travelling and their work in Middle East studies)

Sorry…

I have more countries than years too. The list would be something like:
Europe: 15 EU countries + Norway, Switzerland, Andorra, Liechtenstein, Iceland, Monaco, Vatican City State, Malta, Czech Rep., Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, Poland, Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Estonia.
Other: USA, Canada, Tunisia, Japan.
That would be 36, if I’m not forgetting any.

US, Canada, Quebec, and Texas.

10 for me at age twenty:

US
Canada
Germany
Austria
Switzerland
Liechtenstein
Netherlands
Italy
Vatican City
Luxembourg

Please pay no attention to the fact that three of those countries are dinky little European states.

Not so many by comparison:

Canada (Victoria B.C.; Also Frobisher Bay, Northwest Territory)

Mexico (Well, just Tijuana…but it is in Mexico)

Wake Island (Yes, it’s U.S. territory, and it was just a fuel stop)

Hong Kong (1972…still a colony. Stayed on Victoria Island but visited the Kowloon peninsula and the “New Territories”)

Japan (Tokyo and Kyoto)

Indonesia (Djakarta)

Sri Lanka (Stayed in Colombo. Visited Kandy, Anuradhapura and Wilpatu Game Sanctuary. By far the most exotic country I’ve seen)

Oman (another fuel stop…temp about 130, no kidding)

Israel (summer of '72. Landed at Lod Airport a few days after a Japanese terrorist group shot up the airport. Visited Tel Aviv, Jerusalem)

England (London is one city I’d like to visit again someday)

Only 22 states so far, but I’m working on it.

Let’s see (26 3/4 year-old checking in:)

UK (Lived there for three months, Wolverhampton & Port Appin, Scotland, mostly. Also London & Banbury.)
France
Germany
Switzerland
Poland
Czech Republic
Slovakia
Hungary
Romania
Slovenia
Croatia
Yugoslavia (Serbia & Kosovo)
Bosnia
Bulgaria
Macedonia
Italy
Belgium
the Netherlands
Australia (Tasmania)
Uzbekistan (Khiva, Bukhara, Samarkand, Tashkent)
Turkmenistan (well, drove through it for 10 minutes)
Russia (Moscow)
Austria
Canada (Ontario)
USA (40 states)

That’s 25 for the moment. Not counting countries I’ve only visited the airport of (such as New Zealand.)
I’ll be hopefully expanding that list soon… I need to get onto the African continent…
