I’m 51. Real long term residences, 6. Two before college, two in the military, and two in the 20 years since.
If you want to count college moves, I went from living at/near school during the session to returning the same house each summer for 4 school years & 3 summers. So that’s 7, but three of those are one of the 6 long-term addresses.
In the military in addition to the 2 long term assignments counted above I had 6 short term addresses for various schools. Two of those 6 were long enough (9+ months) that they could arguably be considered long term also.
So depending on how you want to keep score, somewhere between 6 and 19.
And all but 2 of the 6-or-19 were before my early 30s. Things have slowed a bunch since then. I expect one more move someday, followed by the final move to a box, perhaps preceded by a stint in an old fart’s home.
About 30 different addresses in 8 countries… (US, UAE, Georgia, Germany, Czech Republic, Thailand, Singapore, New Zealand). Like the poster above, I define “living” as being somewhere long enough to receive mail.
My parents lived a couple of places after I was born, but before I was two. I have no memory, so I’m not counting them. Other than that I’ve had a permanent residence at 4 addresses and a temporary one where I worked at a camp for the summer.
I’ve lived at nine different locations if I don’t count college addresses, thirteen if I do.
Two different places I lived had their addresses changed by the post office at least once while I lived there.
I be 49.
1 City I was born in.
+
3 Town I grew up in. (One of those twice.)
+
4 City I live in now. (Two twice.)
+
1 In university. (Lived in 2 different rooms, but the same dorm.)
21 if you don’t count boarding school or college, 23 if you do. I turned 40 this year.
The longest I ever lived anywhere uninterrupted was the first 6 years. After that, there was the constant packing/unpacking of dormitory living followed by summers mostly at home.
All addresses were here in the US, in 5 states: NH, MA, SC, NC, and CO.
Age 51 here.

So that’s 15 places. Huh, I didn’t realize there were so many - this has been educational!
