How many Doper specializations can you name?

Haha, strike two! twickster’s a gal!

Sir Rhosis - Star Trek (vital on the boards!)
Dave Simmons - WWII flying experience.

Hah! I’m 54…

You’re forgetting the most important one of all:

Rachm Qoch–people who are about to die

And glee’s gender is affected by that, how? :stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue:

(I bloodly well hope he doesn’t turn out to be a bird, now…)

No chance of that. Even the most skillful sex-change couldn’t give a female that kind of declaiming ability on cricket.

Not just any puzzle factory, mind you – she was a puzzle editor at the factory that put out GAMES Magazine. Now THAT is serious puzzle geek cred.

Philospher Environmental design, and treehouses
Cartooniverse Professional cameraman, paramedic
Beaucarnea naturalist, and exemplary good hearted mind
Sampiro Southern History, Southern Craziness, and how to best try
to explain that all, pretty damn brilliantly
DoctorJ shiny new physician, done paid his dues
fishbicycle record collector, yep, but also a Public Radio broadcaster
Left Hand of Dorkness many talents, but always excellent for Animal Rights
issues. Now, too, I’d expect he’s becoming a great teacher
Monstro swampy biologist
Shirley Ujest knitting is her latest obsession, SD quipmaster is her job here

There’s some, out of so many more great folks here. And thanks, Twicks, for the mention.

I am trying hard to avoid duplicates:

jshore: Environmental Science.
Marley23: Music and Comedy.
Campion: Law
Annie-Xmas: Musical Theater
twickster: Gardening and especially editing Gardening magazines
Idle Thoughts: Running games and putting together very useful lists
EddyTeddyFreddy: Horses too
Fenris: Heinlein and Comics
BrainGlutton: Starting threads on the Dope
samclem: coins
WhyNot: Polyamourous relationships too
meek: Writing SDMB themed musical parodies.

Jim

DMark–Las Vegas
RandMcNally–helicopters and Smurfs!

my campaign is not working. this is troubling. I really do know a LOT about murder

Huh. Well that’s kinda neat. Thanks lieu. Although, I think maybe ‘drinking’ should be added to the list.

CandidGamera–Comic books
Chronos–Physics, Math
fessie–art (specifically painting)
Evil Captor–bondage
NoClueBoy–Star Trek

Combine the two and you might be a little more memorable, no?

Random things which come to mind which haven’t yet been mentioned:

Diogenes the Cynic - (textual history of) the Bible
GorillaMan - classical music
liberty3701 - (socio)linguistics
Frylock, Sophistry and Illusion - philosophy
Dominic Mulligan - the study of programming languages

I hope that’s all correct.

Also, though an ex-doper now, Excalibre was another linguist of some sort. And I think Frylock and Sophistry and Illusion are both specifically into epistemology, though I’m not sure. Um, maybe GorillaMan plays the violin? The more specific I get, the shakier my conviction.

As for some of the mathematicians already mentioned, I may as well go for specificity: Mathochist and Hari Seldon are category theorists, Jamaika a jamaikaiaké is a set theorist.

Santo Rugger is an expert on vaginas.

I don’t go all the way back to the Ed Sullivan Show! I never was a collector like you are, and definitely don’t know as much about the music itself. I was always interested in the personalities, and used to read everything I could get my hands on about them. I have slowed down on that reading over the years…there are several new books out I want to get to, but haven’t had the time yet. Consequently, I’ve forgotten many details about them that I used to know. But I will jump into threads if I feel like I can contribute something interesting, I promise!

**Zebra ** - being a man
lobstermobster - flipping children the bird, mspaint (oh, and murder and art)

I don’t think I saw this.

Candid Gamera - MST3K
