So you buy all their records, and take notes on what you have, and what records you’ve seen. Then you find out that there are hundreds of variations on most of the albums, from every country where there was an EMI plant. Then, poking around in record bins at every store you come across, you discover bootlegs. If you want them enough, you will find a way to get them. And I did. It’s been a process of collecting everything I can find and can afford. There is so much stuff! I can’t afford to get into memorabilia, though. Just recordings, photos and books. So start a thread!

I don’t go all the way back to the Ed Sullivan Show! I never was a collector like you are, and definitely don’t know as much about the music itself. I was always interested in the personalities, and used to read everything I could get my hands on about them. I have slowed down on that reading over the years…there are several new books out I want to get to, but haven’t had the time yet. Consequently, I’ve forgotten many details about them that I used to know. But I will jump into threads if I feel like I can contribute something interesting, I promise!
