How Many Major League Soccer Games Have You Been To?

I’ve never been to one. If I were in a city that had a franchise (the nearest to me being Chicago), I’d buy a ticket if I had the money, I had a few hours to kill, and the game was meaningful (say, a late-season game between teams in playoff contention).

The Seattle team is apparently a fairly big thing around here. I have never had a desire to go. I think, perhaps, I should go once (with a “good attitude”) and see if it is something I could appreciate. I’ll put in on my bucket list.

I’ve been to a handful of Milwaukee Wave games. They’re listed as being part of the Major Arena Soccer League. Is that the same?

Back in the day, Pittsburgh had a team in the Major Indoor Soccer League (Pittsburgh Spirit). I had a partial season ticket plan.

Dozens, all when I lived in Illinois.

No.

If the Chicago Sting of the old NASL counts, then about 4 games. (I chose less than 10.)

If not, and we’re just looking at the current league, then 0.

Then none.

I said none, but I did go to one Cleveland Stokers’ game back in 1968(?) in the old North American Soccer League.

Precisely six.

2 for FC Dallas, 1 for the USMNT.

Plenty of lower division games around OKC.

None. But I did see the old NY Cosmos back in the day.

I’ve been to one, DC United vs. LA Galaxy. It was David Beckham’s debut in MLS and it was completely crazy.

Also been to Chelsea vs. AC Milan exhibition game at the Meadowlands, and Liverpool vs. Tottenham in Baltimore a couple years ago.

I’m going to the MLS All-Star Game vs. Bayern Munich in Portland in August, so I guess it’ll be two by the end of the summer.

Cleveland had a MISL team for a long time too. They were big on kids group tickets. So I’ve been to at least 2, if not more.

Heh. The Force sucked!

Is that true or is it just hyperbole because you are from Pittsburgh? lol

Totally Pittsburgh speak.

My sister was the leader of a MLS supporters group for a few years, and due to her I have been to a couple of games including two MLS Cup. One was a double header before a US-Netherands friendly leading up to the 2002 World Cup. The difference in play level was stunning.

Went to a DC United game as part of a trip function. Was horribly humid and horribly boring.

None. I’m not interested in soccer.
