How many make an orgy?

OK, so I won’t die if I don’t know this by midnight, but it would help…

How many people does it take to be able to legitimately call a sexual situation an orgy?

I say definitely more than three or four, likely five or more.

Five or more was my (unaccepted) answer.

I also insisted that a “gang bang” had to consist of one girl and three or more guys (or vice-versa should some man ever find himself in that situation).

Any help here?

5+

oops… under five and above two you have a threesome or a foursome.

2 is company, 3 is a crowd, 4 is an orgy

…er…pretends he didn’t hear himself say thatwalks away slowly

Regular Sex = 2 people
Three Way = 3 people
Gang Bang = 4 people
Orgy = 5+

Usually 43, but it can be somewhat less if farm animals are present.

Any time you’re unsure of whose arm/leg/breast/fingers/genitals you’re grinding against, that’s an orgy.

Defining a gang bang has more to do, IMO, with how you’re doing what you’re doing than how many people you’re doing it with. I could definitely see an orgy taking place between a girl and three or more guys, to use the definition in the OP.

I’ve been known to have an orgy all by myself; sometimes **two **is a crowd.

Two girls and a guy: Menage a tois
Two guys (or more) and one girl: gangbang
Two of each, or three girls and a guy: foursome
Five or more total, including at least two girls: orgy

None of you are quite right.

An orgy requires a minimum of more than one person of each gender - meaning at least 2 guys and 2 girls, so a minimum of four. There must be at least four so nobody feels left out if two of the people pair up for a while. An event with one girl but multiple guys is a “gang bang”, unless there are only 2 guys, then it’s just a threesome.

Unless of course it’s Tuesday, and then you’ve got a Royal Fizzbin.

Cites?

I don’t think Ski is right because you could have an all male or all female orgy:)

Four people is a fourgy.

I don’t think those fit the traditional definition of orgy. I think it would work only if you qualify it with “Lesbian orgy” or “Gay orgy”.

Orgy.

Sorry, folks. Nothing about numbers.

I’m having real difficulty visualizing this. Little help?

If reference to disctionaries told us everything about the connotations of words, it would be a boring language indeed. Fortunately, they don’t and it isn’t.

I’d say ski got it right – an orgy generally requires at least five including more than one person of each sex. If numbers increase, the ratio of men to women has to hover somewhere near equality. I don’t feel myself qualified to say exactly where the line is, but the point is that balance is important.

That’s true, 20 guys and two girls is just another kind of gangbang.

Enough guys and girls (note the plurality) where nobody is left waiting.

If someone is hanging around looking for an orifice or genital to jump into the fray, it ain’t an orgy.

Try googling “orgy.” You might find a website or two that will help you figure out what the OP means
