Including made for tv movies. You have the two trilogies. Plus the holiday special plus two ewok ones. making the total 9. Am i missing any?
The Clone Wars animated series is being recut into a feature-length movie (or maybe two, not sure). But depending on what you mean “official,” you could eliminate the holiday special, in that, although it is considered mostly canonical, it should be eliminated from all existence.
[Jedi wave]There is no Holiday Special.[/Jedi wave]
Q.E.D., we’ve discussed this before, and not only does the Holiday Special exist, given Lucas’ tampering with original versions–for instance, making Han Solo into a slow-witted Momma’s boy with inhuman torso flexibility–and Obi Wan’s pernicious and pathological deception, the Star Wars Holiday Special should be considered [post=7790069]the only canonical work[/post] of the entire series.

I don’t know what the heck you people are talking about. There are 3 official Star Wars movies. And it’s a good thing there haven’t been any updated re-releases of them, too, cuz that would just inevitably make them worse.
I’m sorry, I don’t know what you’re talking about. I have the three originals on DVD, and Han shoots first, dammit; I know nothing of this tampering of which you speak.
There were two made for TV Ewok movies as well. So that brings the total up to 9 (and 11 if the animated shorts are reworked into two movies as suggested up thread).
Well, you might think you do, but I have it on good authority that Lucas used some of his massive profits to hire a skilled team of leprechauns to infiltrate every house in America and replace original DVDs with modified versions in which it appears to the untrained eye that Han shoots first, but if you actually watch frame by frame you can see that he’s actually adjusting himself when the blaster accidentally goes off.

I never even heard of these. I guess I need to start watching the Kickelodeon Kids network or something.
The First Ewok Movie.
The Second Ewok Movie.
The Holiday Special is a Holiday Special, so while it may be long (or perhaps, too too long), it is not a movie.
So that leaves 8 that have been released and 1 officially announced for later this year.
Do the ewok movies count? I mean, do discworld fans consider the kids’ books part of the series, or seperate series? I think both the ewoks and the Tiffany Aching books, as well as the Maximum Ride books as being their own series, not part of the ones for adults.
Shit. That’s 9. The fucker said he’d give us 9 Star Wars movies, but he didn’t tell us that 7 of 9 would suck ass.
Hey, we’re talking about Star Wars here not Star Trek Voyager.
Yes, but it’s understood because it’s coming out of George Lucas’s mouth, like the movies come out of his ass.
