how many people, on an average does a person know?
lets include relatives, friends and others (such as tv personalities etc)

Funny you should ask.
I made a list of everybody i knew five years ago,but I only included people that I have actually met and spoken to (it counts as long as they knew you as well and you had some
sort of exchange).
I still add to my list because i want to see how big it can get, and right now i have 1,047 people.
38 of them are named Mike, 19 are named Jannifer, 14 Matthews, 9 Rebeccas and 9 Richards.
There are sure to be a few duplicates in my list, but I figure that the duplicates make up for the few people i have forgotten (though I must have a very good memory to remember 1,047 people).
It looks like this has been cross-posted over in General Questions, and since that one has more responses I locking this one off.
