How many people here can get 100% on this quiz?

84, I was expecting a lot worse.

I got 100%.

Then again, I was cheating like a sumbitch.

Seventy freakin seven

A 51, though some how my first three guesses were right, and they were countries I don’t think I’ve even heard of.

Africa 52/147 (35%) - The only reason I got this many is by the end I had guessed wrong just about every single country.
Asia 56/84 (66) - I get stuck below china
Austrailia 16/24 (66)
Canada 39/39 (100) - born and raised here
Caribbean 28/72 (39) - I knew 3. Dominican, Haiti, Jamaica
Central America 35/42 (83)
Europe 74/111 (66)
Middle East 61/87 (70)
South America 30/39 (77)
USA 121/150 (81)

Overall 64%. I’m very embaressed for myself.

23, I’m sure I would have at least tripled that if I weren’t so drunk. It’s kind of like a “memory” game. Which is not an indicator of knowledge, but rather of pattern recognition. I’ll shut up now.

Africa, 146/147, and that’s because I froze on “Republic of Congo,” I’m used to seeing “Congo-Brazzaville” and “Congo-Kinshasa,” rather than their ridiculously similar official names. (He said, sniffily.)
Asia, 83/84. Got Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan mixed up.
Australia, 24/24.
Canada, 39/39.
Caribbean, 46/72. My waterloo. Got the big ones, didn’t get the microcountries.
Central America, 42/42.
Europe, 111/111.
Middle East, 87/87 (learned from my Turkmenistan/Uzbekistan mistake…)
South America, 39/39
USA, 150/150
Continents, 33/33

134

I wish they’d hurry up and merge all those little West African countries together!

142/147. I must admit, I made some absolutely idiotic mistakes in that one. I confused Kenya and Tanzania, for dog’s sake!!!

For a couple of years, there was an atlas on the floor beside our toilet, so I ended up learning a lot about world geography.

145, but I’m protesting, because I know full well where Gambia is. However, I didn’t center my click well enough, so I lost a point. I succeeded on my second try, but was still bothered by the fact I had “blown” my shot at a perfect score when I got Central African Republic. I went south of the country formerly known as Zaire when I should have gone north. Had the format been “drag the name of each country to its proper spot on the map, then click ‘OK’ to lock in your answer”, I’d have gotten 100% for sure.

57 - and I learned about 2/3 of them by picking wrong answers to previous questions.

I need to do that again, to pick up more.

Africa : 119/147
Asia: 82/84
Australia: 22/24
Canada: 38/39
Caribbean: 53/72 (at least I knew where Antigua was. They’re the ones with no fort in their harbor)
Central America: 41/42
Europe: 110/111
Middle East: 86/87
South America: 38/39
USA: 150/150
World/Oceans: 33/33
Total: 772/828, 93%

Africa: 86
Europe: 109

…those were the only two I did for now. Europe pisses me off that I didn’t get 100% - but those former Yugoslavian countries are hard to keep track of!!

  1. I may have read the terribly famous national epic of Mali, but apparently I no longer know where the country is. Must try harder.

Heh…in the Middle East quiz, Israel has a tooltip saying ‘isreal’ (sic). Pity that it’s on a country whose location I already knew - I really could have used a ‘goergia’ tooltip…

I got 140 on the Africa one. I’m going to try the others now.

66

I started out well then I crashed.

I tried to console myself by taking the U.S. one but I only got 148

I would have got 150, but I couldn’t get the damn mouse to click on Rhode Island, it kept giving me Conneticut!

53 on the Africa quiz. I suck.

Yet another ignorant American here. Sheesh.

59 – and i only did that well by treating it as a memory game. I am profoundly shitty at geography :frowning: . I do always get Gold Coast, though – because I did a report on it in the 7th grade (in 1972!), believe it or not.

Africa - 85/147 (57% :()
Asia 80/84 (95%)
Australia 14/24 (58%)
Canada 28/39 (71%)
Caribbean 31/72 (43%)
Central America 37/42 (88%)
Europe 108/111 (97%)
Middle East 76/87 (87%)
South America 29/39 (74%)
USA 149/150 (99% - I always confuse Colorado and Wyoming!)

Looks like I gotta hit the maproom again.
