How many personal cleaning products are in your shower right now?

I bottle of body wash.

Shampoo and conditioner when I’m sporting a beard.

Don’t care, so not sure. Wait, my wife’s entourage of bottles is upstairs, so I do know: there’s one bottle of dandruff shampoo.

And a bar of soap if that counts.

Single person household: one bottle of shampoo.
Different single person household, which occasional presence of guests: one bottle of shampoo in the small bathroom (the owner’s), two different ones in the other bathroom (occasional use by guests).

Probably four body washes, one shaving cream, two bar soaps, kind conditioner and two shampoos. I live alone and most of this lives in the shower windowsill. I Ann unapologetic regarding my liking of scented bubbly stuff.

I have a bar of soap and a bottle of shampoo. My wife has, by my best estimation, about three hundred other things which look like items that aliens placed there in anticipation of their hostile takeover. She has been acting strange lately, so…

I have a bottle of 4 in one soap which is shampoo conditioner body wash and shaving gel…

Two bars of soap (one relatively new, the other just a scrap that I’ve been trying to stick to the new one with dismal results).

One bottle of shampoo, one razor.

Nowhere near 17.

I tried the no-shampoo thing like begbert2 described after I tried a “hair cleansing product” that claimed to be better for your hair than shampoo. The directions had you rinsing your hair for 5 minutes. Hmm. Suspecting it was the rinsing that did the cleansing and not the product, I tried water only. My hair did get fairly clean on water only, but I rinsed for probably 2-3 minutes, plus my hair was tangly without a conditioner. I went back to shampoo but added water to the bottle to thin it. Lasts a lot longer!

Anyway, I have:

one shampoo bottle
one deep conditioner
one regular conditioner
one bottle body wash

I keep it to a minimum because I hate moving that stuff when I clean the shower/tub.

I love method soap products, and when the discount store I work at got some, I used my employee discount, bought them a bunch of them. So I’d guess about 30 different soap bottles, and maybe 2 each of face scrubs, lotions and antiperspirant.

I have my own bathroom, so soap, shampoo, and a bottle of spray to clean the shower. My wife has at least a dozen bottles, but many of them are almost empty but she won’t throw them out. She’s got a couple of those plastic poufy scrubbing things as well.

I clean the bathrooms at our house, so the first step in cleaning her bathroom is to put all her emollients/ moisturizers/face creams/war paint back onto the shelves so I can clean under them.

Whatever she’s doing is working - she looks great and smells better than me, but I have learned not to try to understand why a person needs thirty kinds of make up and half an hour to get that ‘natural’ look.

One bar of Irish Spring soap with which I cleanse myself from head to toe.

My gf’s shower is much more cluttered, with various nostrums and potions.

Our master bath is a walk-in dual shower so it depends upon whose side you look at, mine or Mrs. MeanJoe. Mine 1 bar of soap, 1 bottle of shampoo. Mrs. MeanJoe has 1 bar of soap, 1 bottle of face wash, and 1 bottle each of shampoo and conditioner. And a razor.

Me:
1 Suave Moroccan shampoo & conditioner (smells heavenly)
2 other shampoo & conditioner sets that I don’t remember what they are
1 Avon SSS body wash
1 bar of Tone soap
1 bar of soap that I don’t remember what it is
1 can of shaving foam
1 razor
1 facial cleanser
1 in-shower moisturizer
1 puff
1 foot callus remover

Husband:
1 bar of Dial
1 bar of face soap
1 bottle of T-Gel dandruff shampoo
1 bottle of Garnier olive oil conditioner
1 bottle of Cost Cutters tea tree oil conditioner

Five. Bar soap, two shampoos, two conditioners (there are just two of us). When I visit my daughter, I’m always astounded by the number of product lining every single inch of her bathtub. She’s single.

Since I’m semi-single and my shower is only used by me, one bottle of shampoo and one bar of soap.

One shampoo bar, one conditioner bar, two bottles of soap free body wash (one I tried and didn’t like, but I’ll use it up eventually).

The impressive collection is my skin creams; I think I own about 8 types of moisturiser. Mind you, I have terrible skin, so I kind of need them.

1 body wash
1 3-in-1 body wash, shampoo, and conditioner
1 bar of soap
1 dandruff shampoo
1 2-in-1 shampoo and conditioner
2 trial-size liquid body soap bottles

Very interesting …

I have no sulphate shampoo and conditioner, shared bar of soap with hubby, and a bottle of some 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner … which I started using as body wash to use up before I started in with chemo.

I found that during chemo, the crap I was given seemed to kill off all the skin microbiome, and cut skin/hair oil production so that I showered once a week, and when my hair started growing back, it didn’t need washing weekly, but biweekly [i shaved my head to support someone going into chemo and then I got diagnosed … SURPRISE!:smack:] I tried using cetaphil, but it dried me out. I tried one of the hypermoisturized body washes [um, dove?] but the best non drying body wash is that cheap 2 in 1 huge bottle stuff I am using up [tresemme?] Now that chemo and radiation are done, I still only wash my hair once a week, and shower every few days. Not that my butt/groin doesn’t get washed, it does - several times a day, I use a sitz bath frequently as the skin is still healing up from the radiation - butt sunburn is not fun or comfortble!

Let’s see.

5 open partially empty bottles of shampoo. 3 are the same type/brand. I sometimes end up with multiple open bottles because if they are more than half empty, I’m going to grab a full one if I’m packing for travel. Then when I unpack, it goes on the shower shelf with the rest of them.
One is a large pump bottle of an inexpensive shampoo that I didn’t like, so I use it as a shaving lotion for when I shave my legs. And there’s another oddball brand, almost empty.

1 large bottle and 1 tube of conditioner, good brands. Plus some open and some full tubes of the conditioner that comes with hair dye.

1 bottle of body wash. Two containers of body scrub. A big jar of Vick’s Vapo Rub, to perk up those long hot steamy showers.

And one old school bar of soap.

Until 5 minutes ago, there were also 4 rusty razors, 6 or 7 random product bottle caps and 3 empty bottles. I threw that stuff out while I was “inventorying” for this thread.

And, I’m single and live alone, so it’s all mine.
