7. Is the scent or brand of the soap/shampoo important?

Yes.

8. Do you feel tearless or baby shampoo is somehow “inferior”?

Nah.

Bath or Shower?

Shower.

Bar of soap, or body wash?

Both, body wash for my body, mild soap for my face and my womanly area.

Washcloth, or poofy thing?

Poofy thing.

Approx. how long do you take?

About 25 minutes.

** Do you use conditioner?**

Hell yes, I even use a weekly Deep Conditioning treatment, or hot oil if it’s really scary.

Hot or cold?

Depends on the weather, but I usually try to rinse in cooler water so my hair doesn’t frizz as much.

Is the scent or brand of the soap/shampoo important?

I must admit I’m a “line” junkie. I will buy an entire line of products of the same brand, so that my shampoo matches my conditioner matches my deep conditioner matches my styling products.

Do you feel tearless or baby shampoo is somehow “inferior”?

No, they just don’t get me as clean. Baby shampoo just can’t strip off all the goo that gets in my hair (I use styling products to control my frizz).
As for tearless, some very expensive salons make tearless shampoo for grownups (Madonna uses it). I just can’t afford that line, baby.

Bath or Shower?

Shower to get clean, bathe to relax, de-stress, share, etc.

Bar of soap or body wash?

Body wash. I hadn’t had an actual bar of caked soap in my home forever, but recently discovered these kiddie soaps that are sold in fun scents and encased in a netting/scrubby type thing, brought some home to encourage my darling son to be more hygenic.

Washcloth or poofy thing?

Poofy thing for shower, washcloths for face washing throughout the day.

Approx. how long do you take?

About 20 minutes, longer for deep conditioning the hair or the really thorough shaving experiences.

Do you use conditioner?

Always.

Hot or cold?

Good ol’ warm, generally. Way hot on cold winter mornings. Does anyone actually take cold showers?

Is the scent or brand of the soap/shampoo important?

Scent’s unimportant, as long as it smells nice which is basically any of them except maybe the medicinal shampoos. I’m not brand-faithful per se, but it’s got to be suited for my hair texture. Actually, I’ll use way cheap and cool smelling shampoo’s like Suave, but blow big money on good conditioners.

Do you feel tearless or baby shampoo is somehow “inferior”?

Well, never thought about it that way, but sorta. Only as it relates to being inappropriate for my hair type, not strong enough to get all the styling product out, not enough conditioners so my hair is left feeling like wet straw.

1. Bath or Shower?

Shower

2. Bar of soap, or body wash?

Both

3. Washcloth, or poofy thing?

My hands can build up a good enough lather on their own.

4. Approx. how long do you take?

8 minutes, that includes shaving, hair combing, and deodorant applying.

5. Do you use conditioner?

No. Only need it when my hair is long. I keep it short these days and its much easier to deal with overall.

6. Hot or cold?

Warm.

7. Is the scent or brand of the soap/shampoo important?

Anything is fine, though I do like the smell of Lever 2000 and Irish Spring soaps.

8. Do you feel tearless or baby shampoo is somehow “inferior”?

Baby Shampoo: Dunno

Tearless Shampoo: I tried putting this stuff in my eyes to see if it was really tearless once. Gah, it was like I threw ACID in my face! Tearless my ass, that stuff is NASTY!

1. Bath or Shower?

Shower. No tub in this apartment

2. Bar of soap, or body wash?

Bar of Soap

3. Washcloth, or poofy thing?

Neither. And don’t get me started on poofy things, again!

4. Approx. how long do you take?

Dunno. Maybe five or ten minutes.

5. Do you use conditioner?

What would be the point? I’m bald.

6. Hot or cold?

Hot

7. Is the scent or brand of the soap/shampoo important?

No, not really. Just as long as it doesn’t smell bad.

8. Do you feel tearless or baby shampoo is somehow “inferior”?

No, but I’d feel silly buying baby shampoo, and don’t need tearless. My eyelids function quite well, thank you. See?

  1. Shower. Baths only a few times a year, when I can use my parents’ whirlpool tub.

  2. Bar of soap

  3. Washcloth

  4. About ten minutes, longer for leg shaving

  5. Yes

  6. Hot. I like to start off with hot water, let the shower get nice and warm, then use cool water to rinse off.

  7. I’ve noticed some brands of shampoo and conditioner make it easier for me to brush my hair afterward. I vastly prefer these. I also just love the smell of Herbal Essence.

  8. Never gave this much thought, since I haven’t used since I was little.

1. Bath or Shower?

Shower, bath maybe two or three times a year when I’m home from school and really need to relax.

2. Bar of soap, or body wash?

Body wash. Haven’t used a bar of soap in years.

3. Washcloth, or poofy thing?

Poofy thing! But I keep a washcloth around for washing my face.

4. Approx. how long do you take?

At the very least, 15 minutes, more like 20-25 if I’m feeling slow, up to 45-an hour if there’s shaving involved.

5. Do you use conditioner?

Arseloads of it. Plus a leave-in vitamin goo. My hair is so dye-fried.

6. Hot or cold?

Hot for most of it, then a cool rinse before I get out. It’s very refreshing, plus it keeps the hair a little less frizzy.

7. Is the scent or brand of the soap/shampoo important?

Scent is important - I like fruity smells, preferably something orangey/citrusy. Brand/formula is only important when I really care about what color my hair is at the time and want to keep it from fading.

8. Do you feel tearless or baby shampoo is somehow “inferior”?

Never really thought about it. Don’t really care. Although baby shampoo is very nice for washing the cat.

1. Bath or Shower?

Shower

2. Bar of soap, or body wash?

Bar of Soap

3. Washcloth, or poofy thing?

Washcloth.

4. Approx. how long do you take?

Well, since other people have to get in the shower and I’m subsequently pressed for time, about 15 minutes. When I’ve got all the time I want about a half an hour, forty five minutes.

5. Do you use conditioner?

Yes, although we’re out now. Well, it’s a two in one formula that’s more shampoo than conditioner, so I think that’s going without. It’s awful.

6. Hot or cold?

Usually really hot, unless it’s really hot out and I need to cool off, then just lukewarm.

7. Is the scent or brand of the soap/shampoo important?

As long as it doesn’t smell bad, no.

8. Do you feel tearless or baby shampoo is somehow “inferior”?

Yes. I don’t know why either, but I’ve always felt that way. About both of them, as well as Two-in-one conditoner, and products that are supposed to prevent dandruff.

  1. Bath or Shower?

Shower

  1. Bar of soap, or body wash?

Bar of Soap

  1. Washcloth, or poofy thing?

Washcloth.

  1. Approx. how long do you take?

Around 20 minutes to half an hour. Depends on how tired/exhausted/sore I am. Some days it’s just nice to sit there until the hot water runs out.

  1. Do you use conditioner?

On the rare occassion I wash my hair, shampoo (I generally wear my hair in a pompadore, so washing gets the grease out, and that’s not good).

  1. Hot or cold?

Depends…summers here in Austin are DAMN hot, so I generally take a nice cold shower. Winters, nice hothothot shower.

  1. Is the scent or brand of the soap/shampoo important?

No.

  1. Do you feel tearless or baby shampoo is somehow “inferior”?

No, but I haven’t used any since I was a little kid, so…I remember though, that no matter how careful one is, they always get the taste of Johnson’s and Johnson’s baby shampoo in their mouth.

1. Bath or Shower?

I haven’t taken a bath in years.

2. Bar of soap, or body wash?

Soap, usually. I like body wash too though.

3. Washcloth, or poofy thing?

Usually, neither. I just use the soap directly. Rag if I’m feeling particularly dirty and want to really scrub out the griminess.

4. Approx. how long do you take?

Five to twenty minutes depending on my mood and if I’m in a rush.

5. Do you use conditioner?

If we have it, yeah. But if we don’t, I don’t worry about it.

6. Hot or cold?

Warm. I don’t like extremes.

7. Is the scent or brand of the soap/shampoo important?

Important? No, not really… but there are specific brands I prefer like Pantene for shampoo and either Dove or Yardley of London’s Oatmeal and Almond for soap.

8. Do you feel tearless or baby shampoo is somehow “inferior”?

Not really but I never buy it either.

1. Bath or Shower?
Showers always.

2. Bar of soap, or body wash?
Body wash. I haven’t used bar soap in ages.

3. Washcloth, or poofy thing?
Poofy thing

4. Approx. how long do you take?
About 10 minutes, normally. I get migraines, though, and if I get one that doesn’t respond to my Rx meds, I get in the shower with the hottest water I can stand, set the Shower Massager to “stun” and stay there till I empty the 50-gallon water heater.

5. Do you use conditioner?
Yes.

6. Hot or cold?
Hot.

7. Is the scent or brand of the soap/shampoo important?
Yes. I have a Bath & Body Works monkey on my back. I really prefer anything vanilla scented. I also like the Cool Citrus Basil and Moonlight Path.

8. Do you feel tearless or baby shampoo is somehow “inferior”?
No.

1. Bath or Shower?
Shower, no exceptions.

Soap or Body Wash?
Usually soap, I have used body wash though.

Wash Cloth or poofy thing?
Usually neither. Sometimes I’ll use the poofy thing.

How long?
I’d say a average about 15 minutes.

Do you use conditioner?
Yes.

Hot or Cold?
Hot, though in the summer I sometimes turn it down to about swimming pool temperature.

Is the scent or brand of the soap/shampoo important?
I rotate between a few different brands, though I can’t say I’ve noticed much difference.

Do you feel tearless or baby shampoo is somehow “inferior”?
no, but I’ve never considered buying either.

  1. Bath or Shower?

Shower

  1. Bar of soap, or body wash?

Dove Body Wash (I have sensitive skin)

  1. Washcloth, or poofy thing?

Poofy thing

  1. Approx. how long do you take?

10-15 minutes

  1. Do you use conditioner?

Have to or else my hair snarls

  1. Hot or cold?

Hot

  1. Is the scent or brand of the soap/shampoo important?

Yes yes yes! Must smell decent and must be a certain type. It took me forever to find the brand I use now, and cost me several years of limp, sticky hair.

  1. Do you feel tearless or baby shampoo is somehow “inferior”?

No, but they are for wimps
