How many pro teams have you seen in person?

Hockey: My dad had half-season’s tickets for the Ottawa Senators for a time, so I’ve almost certainly seen every single Eastern Conference team at least once. I may have missed a couple of the Western Conference teams; I certainly can’t remember every game that I’ve ever been to!

Baseball: I know that I’ve been to games in Toronto and San Diego, but I have no idea who they were playing at the time.

Football: I’ve went to a couple of games of the now-defunct Ottawa Renegades of the CFL. One of them was against the Alouettes. I’ve no idea who the opposition in the other game was.

Baseball-Washington Senators, Montreal Expos, Cardinals, Braves, Dodgers, Reds, Padres, Giants, Cubs, Mets, Phillies, Astros, Pirates, Yankees, Red Sox, White Sox, Angels, Twins

Hockey-Atlanta Flames, Kings, Blackhawks, Blues, Flyers, Rangers, Capitals, Islanders (probably a few more)

NBA - None

NFL- LA Rams, Falcons

LA Rams, Washington Senators, Montreal Expos, and Atlanta Flames, anyone seeing a trend?

NHL: Every team.

NBA: Lakers, Clippers, Twolves, Mavs, Heat, Nets, Sonics, Spurs, Magic, Kings and Warriors. There may be more but I don’t remember for sure.

NFL: Lions, Dolphins, Vikings, 49ers, Cowboys, Eagles, Giants, Redskins.

MLB: Twins, Rangers, Red Sox, White Sox, Indians.

Never seen a Primer League game live but would love to…

What I can remember right off the top of my head - there might be more:

MLB: Cubs, Cardinals, Pirates, Reds, Dodgers, Padres, Giants, Phillies, A’s, Yankees

NBA: Lakers, Clippers, Celtics, Spurs, Sonics

NHL: Kings, Oilers, Flyers, Blues, Coyotes

NFL: Raiders & Chiefs

That last one is the only one I know is complete. I’ve only seen one NFL game live, the last one the Raiders played in L.A. before they moved back up to Oakland. Joe Montana’s last regular season game as well. I love NFL football, but it’s a minimum 5 hour drive to get to a game to sit in really crappy seats in the corner of the end zone for a bunch of money. If I lived close to a team, I might think about some mid-level season tickets, but for now I’m perfectly happy to revel in Sunday Ticket every Sunday in the fall.

NBA - Every team.
NHL - Every team.
MLB - Every American League team, plus the Cubs.

Ah, the perks of afterschool jobs …

NFL - None. Yet.

Hitting them all in one season would definitely take some doing, but I hope you don’t have to wait until you retire to start collecting parks. In my case, it’s never taken more than one vacation week per year to get it done. Of course, I’ve been doing the one week per year since 1989 with no interruptions (knock on wood!).

We’ve done anywhere from 2 to 10 parks in any given trip. Once we thought to include the Minors, it’s relatively easy to schedule a different game in a different city each night.

Baseball: Yankees, Mets, Tigers, Orioles, Indians, Rangers, Blue Jays, Royals, Pirates, Expos, Marlins, Phillies, Rockies, Athletics, Astros, Red Sox. Most of these at Yankee (old or new), Shea or Citi Field, plus two games in KC and one at Camden Yards.

Hockey: Rangers, Islanders, Penguins, Thrashers, and I think the Flyers - I don’t recall for certain who the Isles were playing my one time at Nassau Coliseum.

Basketball: Knicks, Nets, Kings, Warriors, Magic, Cavaliers, Clippers, and again I’m sure I’m forgetting who the visiting teams were at some games I’ve been to.

Baseball only; I’ve seen the Mariners play the A’s, Royals, Rangers (at the Kingdome), Yankees, Blue Jays, Angels (at Safeco Field).

My brain is trying to tell me I’ve seen one more Mariners game in person, and I know I haven’t seen the same opponent more than once, but my brain could just be playing tricks on me. FWIW, the Mariners won every game I attended at the Kingdome, but have lost every game I’ve attended at Safeco.

I’ve given this a lot of thought in the past, and realized there is practically no way to remember most of the visiting teams in many of the games that I’ve been to, especially from the number that I attended before turning 10.

But, I’ve seen the following for certain.

Baseball: Twins, Mariners, Blue Jays, Red Sox, White Sox, Royals, Mets, Astros, Padres, Rangers, Cubs, Pirates. I’m about fairly sure that I’ve seen the Angels and Indians as well.

Hockey: North Stars, Wild, Maple Leafs, Oilers, Sabres, Flames (Calgary, remote chance of Atlanta as well), Predators, Kings, and a number of others when I was too young to remember.

Football: Vikings, Saints, Buccaneers, Falcons

Basketball: Timberwolves, (Charlotte) Hornets, Celtics, Magic

Additionally, I’ve seen quite a few NASL games (indoors and outdoors) and one WNBA game as well.

Major League Baseball: Chicago Cubs, St. Louis Cardinals, Cincinnati Reds, Pittsburgh Pirates, Colorado Rockies, a handful of other teams that I can’t posibly identify (all Cubs or Cardinals National League opponents), Kansas City Royals, the KC Royals’ AL opponents that day (I think it might have been the [at the time] California Angels).

National Football League: Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, St. Louis Rams.

MLB:
Red Sox, Rays, Twins, Dodgers, Mets, Angels, Orioles

NBA:
Jazz, Warriors, Harlem Globetrotters (OK, OK, not technically NBA, but… :P)

NLL:
Boston Blazers, Minnesota Swarm

NBA Basketball: Utah Jazz vs ???
NFL football: Cleveland Browns vs ???
Soccer (back in 60’s) Cleveland vs. ???
World Team Tennis: Cleveland vs ???
MLB: every AL team except Tampa & Toronto. Also saw (old Wash Senators both versions, old KC A’s) I saw the Brewers as an AL team but not as an NL team nor as the Pilots.
every NL team except Montreal/Wash, Arizona, Miami, Colorado
Hockey: WHA: Cleveland vs two other teams.
NHL: Boston, NYR, NYI, New Jersey, Hartford (but not as Carolina)

Can’t always remember who the away teams were.

MLB: Giants, Athletics, Orioles
NFL: Raiders, 49ers. Had Raiders season tickets for awhile, so a lot of teams, definitely remember the Broncos, Chiefs, Chargers, Ravens, Dolphins, Buccaneers…
NBA: Clippers, Grizzlies, Trail Blazers
NHL: Kings
MLS: DC United

Amendment to my previous post: I have never seen the Arizona Diamondbacks in person.

An amendment: I remembered who the Twins were playing when I went to the Metrodome–Rangers.

Added the Astros to my list last night. They did what they were supposed to do (lose to the Padres).

At what level? I’ve seen many pro baseball teams consisting of the Houston Astros and their opponents. I’ve also seen minor league teams: the old Houston Buffs and just last weekend, the Arkansas Travellers (AA).

We’re changing our name from the Astros to the Armadillos, because we play dead at home and get killed on the road. :frowning:

This is where age and a poor memory make it difficult.

In baseball, I’m pretty sure I’ve seen every AL team and at least half of the NL teams.

In football, I’ve seen (that I can recall): Bucs, Saints, Falcons, Bengals, Steelers, Redskings, Lions, Packers, Vikings, Cowboys, Dolphins, Bills, Raiders, Browns and the Miami Hurricanes.

In soccer, I saw the Rowdies, Strikers, Cosmos, Sockers, Whitecaps, Washington team (can remember their uniforms, but don’t recall the name - maybe the Diplomats) during the NASL games, and probably a few more I don’t recall. In the Bundesliga/2nd Bundesliga I’ve seen Borussia Moenchengladbach, Dortmund, 1860 Munich and SpVgg Greuther Fürth. If national team games count, then add in USA, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Cuba, Brazil, Iran, El Salvador, South Korea, Portugal, Poland, Italy, Saudi Arabia, Belgium and Nigeria. Women’s national team games have seen North Korea, USA, Sweden and Germany. May be missing a couple there.

In basketball, the Atlanta Hawks, but I don’t remember who they played. Only went once. Also saw a Globetrotters / Generals game once, but not sure that counts.

In hockey, the Atlanta Flames, the Cleveland Barons, St Louis Blues and Pittsburgh Penguins

In Lacrosse, I saw the Baltimore team play someone. That was a lot of fun, but don’t remember who they played.

NFL: Titans, Bengals, Colts, Eagles, Jaguars, Ravens

MLB: Most of the NL teams from the mid-eighties to the mid-nineties at Riverfront Stadium

Class AAA: Most of the PCL from the mid-nineties to the present at Greer Stadium (Nashville Sounds)

Class A: Most of the Midwest League in the late eighties / early nineties at Coveleski Stadium (South Bend Silverhawks, formerly SB White Sox)

NHL: Predators, Redwings, Blackhawks, Blues

Minor League Hockey: Don’t remember all of the teams or the league, but we used to go to Fort Wayne Komets games when I was a kid

Arena League: Nashville Kats vs. Tampa Bay Storm (the one and only game that I saw)

NBA: Pacers, Pistons

If you want to count them, I’ve also seen various NASCAR and ARCA teams in action.
