I probably average 10-15 posts per week. I was running about 20-30 per week before they started watching employees’ Internet-surfing activity at work more than they used to.

I’m irregularly regular. I can go for a week without posting and then get carried away with posting.
This is a question that can likely not be answered. With any degree of reliability.
How about a “post here if you post at least once a week” thread.
I think this thread qualifies, people who didn’t post regularly are more likely to miss it and then not post here.
The thread that Biggirl linked to probably contains the most information on individual’s posting habits - I actually still have the data plus more from a previous exercise (now rather out of date) on my computer somewhere too.
I’ve always been constrained in analysis by the fact that TubaDiva goes green and muscly if you try to harvest data in any way other than via telepathy. Oh what I wouldn’t give for a data dump of date of joining and number of posts for all users.

Mind you, I got rather grumpy when a seriously hefty piece of analysis on posting habits in each forum got swalled by the Great Purge of 2001/2 and as a result I’ve not analysed any SD statistics since.

Actually, thinking about it, I would want the following data for everyone who has ever registered:
Date of birth
Country (state?) of residence
Date registered
Number of posts
Date of last post
Employment status
Bank details (only kidding)
Number of children
I could then construct a generalised linear model (Poisson error, log-link for those who care) that would truly start to predict posting frequency and longevity for any given individual.
There may be other rating factors/variants I haven’t thought of, but I’d have thought that duration, age, location and the proxies for free time cover most of the angles.

My posting varies. There are times when absolutely nothing interests me. A sad state of affairs. 
I just checked my profile, which has a posts per day average.
Mine is currently 4.51 posts per day.
