No snow here but I enjoyed watching the fog roll in tonight, oozing its way over the Point and into the Bay, engulfing the freighters anchored therein as well as the adjacent lowlands, before finally working its way up to my neighborhood. Took longest to make its incursion into the Bay. After that, the total foggy immersion took 30-45 minutes. If I had a better view of the Bay, it would have been fun to make a time lapse video of the proceedings.
**ddsun ,**I used to loved to watch JewelryTV back when I got that station. My very favoritest was the piles of sparklies turning 'round and 'round. I’d note all the major, very visible flaws most of the gems had, whilst the hucksters were gushing over the quality and how these were unsorted gems and this or that viewer had one appraised for hundreds or even thousands of dollars. Yeah, right. But they were soooo purty anyway and I just loved to watch them turning under the lights. I always wanted to get one of those piles to share with my nieces but never did.
Tummy’s hinting it’s might be time for dinner soon but the brain wants some of Swampy’s chili and cornbread. Oh, Swampy, why must you live clear across the country from me?
I just returned from my local Carmax, to which I had delivered my Edge with the ailing front suspension this moanin’. I was also noticing that my seat was rocking back a little every time I accelerated from a standing start, so they had a look at that, too.
They called me about ninety minutes ago to let me know that the front suspension and the (motorized) seat mount required about $2K worth of repairs, which are covered by my extended warranty that lasts until I hit 100K miles – which happens in 4500 miles. Plus, they authorized Enterprise Auto Rental to pick me up at home and provide me with a Chrysler Town and Country until the repairs are completed. So I guess . . . SCORE!
I drove off in the rental and showed up at the repair facility just before closing time to retrieve some things that I normally leave in the car for when I go to work. Next, I’m taking the family out for sushi.
One morning thing I hate more than being awakened by the dog is having the alarm go off when I’m in a deep phase of sleep. It was *soooooooooooo *hard to get up and moving this morning. I bet I could have slept 2 more hours. Stoopit alarm.
**FCD **is on his way to work and I’m having an egg sammich for breakfast. I’m going to wash and pack the lap robes today, and I think while they’re washing, I’ll tidy my studio and start filling the kiln. I have a lot of pieces done and very very dry (can’t remember the last time I worked down there) and I may as well see what I need to finish a load.
I did start the day by emptying the dishwasher, but I kinda had to - all of the teaspoons and most of the glasses were in there. Now they’re all where they belong and I’ve started on the next load of dirties. It never ends, does it?
I need to start gathering all my tax stuff together, too. And I think I’ll make a folder for 2015 taxes so I can just cram stuff right into it rather than do this pre-filing gatheration. That sounds all organized, don’t it?
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up, caffeinated, and purtified, so no YAWN 'Tis 39 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 54 for the day. Tonight’s low is predicted to be 19 Amurrkin with a high of 39 tomorrow. BRRR! Thus I have made no plans to travel tomorrow. I say that calls for a day in the orifice.
As soon as OYKW is purtified, we’re goin’ for a brekkie Quickie. I’m not fond of that place, but hey, he’s buyin’ so who am I to complain?
Crow 'tis a tragedy is it not?
OK, he’s all ready so I reckon we should get outta here.
We had a local towing company called Janeway; we also had one with a more creative name. Kind of like their namesake in that they screwed you & took your cash.
