How many rings? [on your fingers]

Zero. Rings and bracelets bug me.

One small silver twisted ring worn on my right pinkie between the first and second knuckles. I have never met anyone else wearing a ring in that spot, but I have for years.

Zero. Degloving injuries are not pretty. Don’t google it unless you want to see a bony finger sans skin.

I didn’t vote because it varies.

Most of the time I wear no rings at all. If I’m going somewhere special or if I just happen to think about it, I’ll wear my wedding, engagement and eternity rings on my left hand and a dress ring chosen from a vast selection on my right hand.

Five.

Four on one hand (including a thumb ring and 2 on one finger), and one on the other.

Love rings, hate symmetry.

None. I work with too many power tools and chemicals to safely wear any sort of jewelry on hands or wrists.

The fact I’m a married woman who doesn’t wear a ring has, on occasion Really Bothered some people (to the point of being told I’m a liar or trying to entrap “innocent” men, usually the sort of men who feel entitled to attention from women whether they are worthy of it or not). Oddly enough, despite the strong conservative religious atmosphere around here, though, in my current area of residence this doesn’t seem to be a problem, ever. I’m inclined to blame the close proximity of the Amish and their closely related Mennonite brethren (and sisteren) who wear no jewelry at all, not even wedding bands, and thus the local area is quite accustomed to the notion of married people (even married women) who don’t wear rings.

…and yet we agree on so many other things!

Rings and bracelets are the only jewellery I like to wear.

Oh. And earrings. But they don’t really count since I wear the same ones all the time; except for maybe once or twice a year.

Usually none, but occasionally I’ll wear a silver claddah ring on my right ring finger. I still have my high school ring, but the stone is badly chipped and my fingers are smaller now so it doesn’t fit well.
