How many slices of pizza do you eat in one sitting?

Usually I share the pizza with the rest of the family, so one-third of (two slices) of a large pizza. If there’s some kind of party or celebration with stacks of pizza, it depends on how many pieces are left at the end, when I can sneak another slice.

2 for dinner; 1 for lunch.

Bolding mine.

So how you doin’?

To answer the OP, usually about half a pizza will do me just fine.

I didn’t know not eating the whole pizza was possible, maybe I’ll try that some time. (But it seems that over here, pizza sizes are somewhat smaller—a ‘large’ is typically on the order of 30-32 cm, which is around 12’’.)

Usually two or three slices of a large pizza. More usually three slices, but last night only two.

Four to five slices, usually. Less if there’s a salad.

Not just diameter. Volume.

For example, NY style pizzas are usually pretty thin. If I have a pizza like this, then I could possibly eat the whole thing.

But then there’s Chicago-style pizza. Something like this, we’re talking three to four slices, max.

Detroit-style gets even crazier; it’s akin to lasagna. That’s maybe two slices before I’m full.

I typically assume 1/2 a pizza per person when I’m ordering for a group. That’s because I want leftovers but it seems to be a good number.

I just ate a whole large Papa Johns double pepperoni pizza last Friday for lunch but I wasn’t really hungry for dinner that night. I like hot wings so if I’ve eaten 8-12 hot wings I’ll only eat a quarter of a pizza of course normally 20-25 hot wings is a normal dinner for me so that puts me right back at slightly more than half a large per meal.

Eep! That Detroit style “slice” just looks wrong. I suggest fellow dopers with trypophobia not click that link

I just ate 6 slices of a 12" pizza for lunch.

Two slices of a large, with an accompanying cheesy breadstick (we order from Pizza Hut)

I get thin and crispy crust, so I may be saving myself a few calories over the pan or hand-tossed.

A typical slice is 300 calories. Are you all running marathons to burn off all those calories or something?

I used to be awesome at eating pizza. I could start a large pepperoni around dinner time and finish all but 2 slices by bedtime (around 1 or 2 AM).

In just the last year or two something has changed and I can eat maybe 4 pieces in a night. I can’t do leftover pizza anymore, either.

I don’t even buy pizza much now because it ends up just going to waste. Ugh.

Fact: pizza is nature’s most perfect food.

when the local pizza king made a 24 inch pizza I discovered I could almost eat the whole thing…

But I can eat a dominos or pizza hut large for lunch …(especially if its a bbq pizza)

Two for most any type of pizza beyond those little “individual” pizzas you get at a Pizza hut kiosks where the teen-aged staff is still a bit put out about having to work for money.

There’s a chain in Chicago called Bacci’s that makes these gigantic pizzas (I think about 30" in diameter) and sells them by the slice, where a single slice is a big larger than a dinner plate. I’ve never finished 1 slice of theirs.

At home, four (1/2 of a large pie). At work they figure three slices per person, though I usually eat one of the remaining ones for four.

Two.

When I’m visiting in Chicago it might be different.

The whole thing. Except for the crust unless it’s stuffed.

I’m slightly amused because I’m assuming this is in reference to our deep dish or stuffed pizza, but it also works for our thin crust pizza (which is cut “party style” into squares.)
