How many Star Trek:TOS episodes did Spock get laid in?

OK, there’s two we know for sure- with Jill Ireland in “This Side of Paradise” and with Mariette Hartley in “All Our Yesterdays”. Beyond that, things start to get a little fuzzy.

In “The Cloud Minders”, he’s putting serious moves on a chick before Kirk comes along and interrupts. So, in that one, he didn’t but he could have.

Then, there’s “The Enterprise Incident.” I actually got into an argument with a coworker over this one. I say he did. Spock and Romulan Commander were doing the hand-touchy thing, camera moves in close, fade to black, cut to commercial. Everybody knows that back in the day when you couldn’t show that sort of thing on television, fading to black and cutting to a commercial on a couple starting to get romantic was the universal code for "they’re doing the wild thang.’ My coworker pointed out that when Subcommander Whatzisface interrupts them, they were standing there doing the hand-touchy thing. I say that fading to black and cutting to a commercial is an inviolable code, and for all he knows, they were gearing up for a second go.

So, did they or didn’t they?

Don’t forget “This Side of Paradise”, where Spoke was under the influence of happiness spores. This is probably the most likely episode for such a thing, as the spores probably released him from the seven-year time lock…

I’m not a fan of the Star Trek television show so I can’t give you much info in regards to your question but I do want to suggest two books tangentially related to your OP – Yesterday’s Son and Time for Yesterday, both of which deal with Spock and Zarabeth’s son in Sarpeidon’s past. Great books… especially the latter. It’s one of the top ten of all 300 or so novels written for any of the franchises.

He didn’t.

Actually, I don’t think those are sure things at all (the TOS novels notwithstanding).

And of course this thread would be incomplete without a ref to the Pon Farr bit with Saavik and a rapidly-aging Spock in the third film. There was some kicking-around of the idea that Saavik would be pregnant in the fourth film, with either Spock’s or David Marcus’s child, but it never panned out.

Not to hijack, but you live a sad, lonely little life don’t you asbestos.

Remember, not everyone who is a Star Trek : TOS fan leads a sad and lonely life.

Hey I love Star Trek:TOS, but I don’t obsess over spocks sexual habits or discuss these habits with my coworkers.

I should just shut up now…

Sheesh. You’d think I couldn’t read Geek…

It’s all Geek to me!

Official Moderator Pronouncement: It’s not a hijack, per se, but it is a personal insult. Personal insults are not allowed in this forum. You can say whatever you want about Star Trek, the actors, the plots, whatever; but you cannot make insulting comments about other posters.

[lecture mode]This is Cafe Society. We’re talking art and entertainment, and Wagnerian opera to one person is unbearable screeching to my wife. Different tastes in art or entertainment are accepted, and what makes discussion interesting. You may NOT insult someone because they have different tastes or interests than you do. This person spends lots of time studying Star Trek trivia, and that person spends lots of time studying Renaissance paintings. You have no right to condemn one life style over another. You’re fairly new here, The Cat, so you’re forgiven this time, but let’s not make a habit of it, OK?

You obviously have no idea how bored you can get on a dead craps game.

I don’t obsess over Spock’s sexual habits, and my discussions with my coworkers range from food to politics to movies to… well, that particular day, a couple of us decided to play “Star Trek Trivia”.

So, did he shag the Romulan Commander, or didn’t he?

In Plato’s Stepchildren Spock and Chapel may or may not have been forced to have intercourse (if they did, it happened during a commercial break)

The problem with projecting back to a 1960s era TV show is that the producers may or may not have intended a particular scene to imply doin’ the nasty. My handy Trek reference book lists 18 episodes where Kirk has a “romance” but not all of them led to sex.

That said, I think Spock and the Romulan did it.

Ya know, I was a pre-teen back when the show was originally on and I thought that when it faded to black for a commercial the actors did what I did…take a pee and grab a snack from the fridge. I had no clue what the subtext was.

Yeah, I know about the rule not to insult people. and just for the record I think he shagged her (it faded to black didn’t it???) However, I don’t think you can count that as a verifiable spock laying. In fact I don’t think you can say from whats actually shown on the series that spock EVER got laid. How do you know they didn’t just make out? Or get naked and spoon?

In that episode with Jill Ireland, when Kirk was trying to get Spock angry enough to overcome the spell of the spores, didn’t Kirk say something like “and you’ve got the gall to make love to that girl…”.
The show implied that the spore-happy love birds would do horizontal hula, and then Kirk specifically mentions that they did it, so I think we can reasonably conclude that the deed was done.
Come on, let the guy be happy once in a while.

The phrase “make love” had a much tamer meaning back then. As I recall, the phrase was even used in “Lady and the Tramp.”

JThunder – I think the modern meaning of “make love” was firmly ensconsed by the late '60’s; I’ve seen it used in the early '50’s, maybe earlier. Maybe it was used in the episode to allow it to be taken either way, but by that time it clearly could have mean sex.

P.S. Spock and the Romulan Commander – totally doin ’ it.

Slash Research indicates that Spock was gettin’ some on a regular basis–but not from any females.
