How many ways are there to skin a cat?

Put a tube in the cat’s mouth and dip it in concrete, or molten plastic or metal or something. When the coating hardens pour insects (or insect larvae) into the mouth tube.

Quantum theory predicts that if you put a cat in a closed box, with a knife, then there is a finite probability that when you open the box again, the cat will be skinned.
The knife may not be necessary.

Although there may be more specific details necessary to avoid having the insects or larvae consume most of the skin, this method does sound feasible.

And welcome to the team!

This could be a possible method. But I get the feeling there may already be an infinite number of skinned cats across all possible universes already. This sounds more like a means of finding a cat already skinned. You should provide more details though. This is not a criticism, but at this level of description I’m not sure we could withstand peer review if your suggestion were included. However I, and I am sure the other contributors, appreciate your efforts.

One could make a small incision anywhere, then using your finger separate a segment of skin from carcass then use pressurized air to separate the rest of the skin (inflate the skin around the carcass). both skin and carcass remain intact.

maggots. maggots will often leave skin and fur intact while devouring the rest of the flesh.

finally i propose that if skinning the cat for meat (many do), the carcass need not be left intact…… thus “cat steaks” would be fine.

Oh, great. I have to look at this zombie title until people lose interest again.
