How much can a person take in one month? or I'd like some cheese with my whine please

So Rico and I got 3 days notice to move. We pulled that off. We put our things in storage and stayed with his sister for almost 3 weeks. Then he finds himself out of work. But it’s looking ok because a good friend of his offers him a great job. We hunted and hunted and hunted some more before finally finding an apt. We picked the area because it’s the location of the new job. We moved in 2 days ago.

Rico was supposed to go over to his new office today and fill out all those fun papers, etc so he’d be ready to start on Tuesday. Just before leaving to head over there, the phone rings…telling him that they are now in litigation with his recently former employer (not related to anything to do with Ric!) but because of the pending litigation matter, their attorney advised them not to hire anyone connected with said scumbag place… so they recinded the job offer.

Now we’re in a new apt with tons of boxes all over, very little money since we spend most all we could scrape together pulling this all together but now no job.

::whine::

Job hunting will commence as soon as the 3 day weekend ends, but sheeeesh!

I’m just so tired in so many ways…

Thanks for letting me vent.

Opps! Sorry

That OP is from me. We are on dial up right now instead of DSL so only the one computer instead of networking each of ours and I didn’t think about that.

Ya know…

I really thought things would look better today.

I’m a fighter and we’ll stand our ground and survive but even after a little sleep last night and some more box unpacking today, I’m still feeling, for lack of a better word, panicy. (is that even a word?)

Someone please tell me it’ll be ok.

Valium…that’s it!..valium. I want some. Anyone have any??? or a drink. A drink sounds way to good. Ya know how us recovering alkies are. Drinks always sound good but sometimes they sound better then at other times. Better stick with diet pepsi. <sigh>

<whine/anger>
I’m not a good pit poster but it sure is tempting to pit Rico’s friend right now. Am I the only one who thinks there’s something really wrong with a friend promising a job and then backing out of the promise the day it was to be finalized leaving us in a worse situation then we were in? Ric would have kept looking for a job while we were still safely staying with his sister and we’d still have all the resources we’d scraped together to move/storage/etc. whatever we had to do. Now we don’t have enough to rent a storage place much less a truck. We have an apt for a month. and I’m already getting hungry dammit.</w/a>

Back to the boxes for me.

Kathy

You sure you wouldn’t rather have pie?

You only got 3 days notice? That’s not right.

I’m sorry, sweetheart. I don’t have much in the way of practical advice, but I’m sending prayers and positive thoughts and love and hugs and all that kind of stuff.

It’ll all work out, I just KNOW it. You have each other, and your Rico is smart and capable (and has a yummy voice for radio) so someone is bound to snap him up soon. Say, have you looked in that former location where he worked? Bellingham, I mean. Just a thought…

My Love,

Cheri
