“You answered 29 out of 33 correctly — 87.88%”
90.91%
I wish there was a breakdown by age. I’d like to see what the average 18-30 year old scores compared to other age brackets.
90.91 %
Question 30 confused me.
Question 33, I misread deficit for debt.
Question 15, I didn’t know if it was A or E.
29/33 - 87.88%
Question #33 kinda threw me though:
The question is “If taxes equal government spending, then:” and its answer is “D. tax per person equals government spending per person”. I interpreted this to mean “The taxes paid by each individual are equal to the government spending on that same individual” not simply total taxes and total spending averaged out per person, which would have seemed too easy. Of course none of the other options were good either. :smack:
84.85%, missed 7, 8, 29, 30, 33
“You answered 31 out of 33 correctly — 93.94 %” I missed 7 and 8. I didn’t know there was Supreme Court involvement with the New Deal. I’d better go read about that…
You answered 29 out of 33 correctly — 87.88 %
Average score for this quiz during December: 75.2%
Average score: 75.2%
Does this mean I should go back and read the constitution?
32 out of 33 here.
I missed question #4. Civil War history was never my strength.
90.91% (missed 4,7 and 29)
81.82% I thought that was pretty good until I saw the rest of your scores. Now I feel like a slacker…
78% here too – I suck at economics.
Same here. I’m a Canadian.
100%.
I got 3 wrong. I got 7 and 14 wrong and misread 21.
Considering I’m not American, I’m satisfied.
(sigh)
I misread one of the questions. The others I legitimately didn’t know.
I got 84.85%, which motivated me to put a copy of the constitution in the bathroom for light reading. You can get cheap copies here or here.
I don’t know about that, but you can definitely be Governor of Alaska.
I’m shocked that I got 78%. I did not expect to do that well.
Rigamarole, I had the exact same thought process on #33.
96.97%.
I couldn’t remember exactly what the Lincoln-Douglas debates had been about, so I guessed (A), even though I knew that (B) would have made more sense given the time. :smack:
I am not surprised that I only scored a 67%.
This Thanksgiving my older sister and I were remembering how our history classes in H.S. always started with Christopher Columbus and pretty much ended at the early part of the Civil war. It was the same every year. Our teacher never went beyond that. I had 3 years of History too.
My husband was shocked to find out how little I know abut WWI and WWII!
And the only time I ever remember studying the Constitution and Civics is in 7th grade. I obviously haven’t retained much since 1977.
- I was a fairly decent student otherwise. Top 10% of my class in H.S.
I really hope my son learns more about US government. I will have to study right along with him.
