I got 2 wrong: the statement of the first amendment (I can’t remember their order and I only really remember the Second and Fifth amendments by numerical reference), and the last question that I answered too quickly (I interpreted the first answer as the same meaning as the right answer, which I agree on re-reading more carefully is a mistake).

Quibble: how does knowing what Sputnik was (a Soviet creation) end up on a US Civics quiz?!

This was posted on another board I post on last week, then I got a 76%. I read up on the questions I missed and when I retook it just now, I got a 96.97%.

My teachers always used to say you always remember facts you miss on tests. I guess it’s the truth.

31 out of 33. Both of the questions I missed were history questions. I’m okay with that. I’m a public policy grad student, I would have been seriously embarrassed if I had missed one of the civics or economics questions.

When the Soviets launched Sputnik, it triggered the Space Race between the USSR and the USA:
