How much do you think the Supreme Court justices follow the political news?

They are smart people and I can’t imagine them barring themselves from knowledge of the potentially cataclysmic current events happening now. So, I assume they read and watch like everyone else. What sources (or source) they go to, I don’t know. I suppose they may even leave breadcrumbs around to indicate that they sample a number of sources and from different parts of the political news spectrum.

I hope they have enough intellectual and legal discipline to remain open minded but although they are indeed smart, they are also human.

Bush v. Gore proved they are actively political, and willing to make decisions on a partisan basis. Hardly the only case, but one well know and obvious example.
