How much does beaded board paneling (for wainscoting) cost? I’m thinking of your basic, unfinished, 4 x 8 sheets at Home Depot.

Apparently it’s known as “beadboard”, if you’re talking specifically about wainscoting.

I did this exact thing a few months ago in our guest room.

There are several different kinds, from unfinished wood to a glossy whitish material. Prices ranged from about $16 - $25 per 8’x4’ sheet, depending on the style.

I had each sheet cut into thirds (about 32") right at the store. I think the room took 5 or 6 sheets, total, so it was a little over $100 (plus adhesive, nails, and the chair rail).
