Insurance starts at $1.95 IIRC and goes up slowly. Your insurance cost will be around $10-15 for those values I think.
Overall, postal insurance is a bit of a scam, they almost never lose a package. But if you need insurance and not just tracking, it’s available.
Which is not factual enough for General Questions, so let me add some facts: You can’t insure something for more than it costs. And you can’t send cash in the mail.
