Let me be right up front and tell you that mine is 400.00 a month. For the next 5 years. This is for a 2000 Nissan Crew Cab. Guaranteed bumper to bumper for 100,000 miles.
Am I on the average? Or am I way over the norm?
Would you mind sharing the amount of your monthly car payment with me so that I can do a reality check? I promise I won’t breath a word of it to no one.
$1000 down on a 2000 Honda Civic Ex (had to have that sun roof :)).
$393.54 a month for 60 months.
usual bumper-bumper warranty.
However, I’m paying an additional $500 a month on to the principle in order to pay it off as fast as possible, so I’ll be finished paying in more like a year and a half.
I refuse to lease cars. ( Did it once and hated having a monthly payment -$125 a month for a Dodge Dakota pickup, with 11k miles alotted for the year. We put on 18 k in 6 months. Ouch.)
Now, I have a 93 Four Door Accord EX. Keep in mind I traded it in with the 95 Chevy Suburban I had (in 1996), I only had $249 a month on my 'Burban because I had traded that in with a 95 Chevy Ext Cab long bed with a 454, custom built truck which was paid off in it’s entirety.
Stupidest thing I ever did, getting rid of my truck for the 'Burban.
Well, I have a Honda that is still running despite my neglect so I can’t bitch too much.
I have no car payment and haven’t since 1996, thankfully, but I still kick my own ass over trading that truck in, I miss “Beast The Sequel”.
$324 for a 2000 Chrysler Concorde. Its a 3 year lease with about 700 down. And I gotta tell you, I LOVE my car. It looks awesome, it rides like a dream, chicks dig it, my friends are jealous, it can’t be beaten!
(Ok I’m kidding about the chicks part, but my friends are jealous. Well one of them at least.)
Around £350 per month for a lease/purchase deal on a 1998 Fiat Coupe. It will effectively drop to zero at the first of the year when I switch from the US to the UK payroll and take advantage of the UK company car policy.
