Absolutely. It does sound fun for people to be a part of Swift-Mania. I have heard her songs are truly good–even for older men! But, I’m afraid to listen to any of them… I’m afraid I’ll really like them and become a Swift-Boater… er… I mean Swiftie.
I’ve listened to a few. It’d be kind of hard to avoid them entirely, working in the same building as 700 teenage girls. But they’re not my style.
I have a great deal of respect for Swift herself, however. She repeatedly shows herself to be sensible, educated, and intelligent.

I agree, that was very well phrased. Saying that she’s endorsing Harris is all that Swifties needed to hear. The rest of it, rather than playing up Harris, is an earnest plea to her followers to get the facts and then get out and vote. Turnout in this election is crucial.
The “childless cat lady” signoff is priceless! 
At first i thought rhe timing was bad, becauae Harris already owns the news cycle. But then i realized Swift isnt going to impact the behavior of many people who were already going to vote: her enourmous potential impact is getting out the youth vote, the people that havent been paying attention and feel no urgency.
I would think that a lot of Swift fans are now suddenly interested, looking at the news . . . and they will see this debate. Hopefully big chunks, if not the whole thing. And of anything in the news, I think its exactly what youd would want an unengaged, uninformed potential voter to see. I can’t think of any one thing that would be better.
And of course, if tonight had gone differently, shed have waited a week or two to endorse.
