A manager of a local store offered to deliver about 8 or 10 cases of soda costing around $100. He remarked that he’s often near my address attending the nearby community college, so it’d be no trouble for him (it seemed clear he meant without charging me for a delivery tho if he wanted to I’m sure it’d be OK). I’m a regular customer and buy this much every 2-3 months, and he’s especially diligent in special ordering quantities for me and calling me when it’s in - he even recognizes me by voice when I call the store. Great service.
I’m a little hazy re whether he owns the store or just runs it. He is clearly in charge and has profit & loss responsibility, but it might be his family’s store or something. And he’s young, less than 20 I think.
I was thinking maybe $20 or $40, or if he does charge me delivery then maybe $5 or $10. I’m not especially trying to save money, but don’t want to do anything awkward, either - I’m all thumbs at that sort of thing.
Any input welcome! Well, unless it’s something really surprising…
