After seeing the previous thread about someone wanting to see the world on 12k, I was wondering how much it would cost to travel around the globe? My trip would begin at Vladivostok where I’d take the Transiberian Railroad to Moscow, travelling to the Black Sea to Istanbul, through the Mediterranean to Sicily (I have family there) and then up through Italy to Berlin, spending as little time as possible in France then crossing the channel to tour England until crossing the Atlantic to arrive in New York City. The only place where I’m going to take advantage of air travel is a flight from Anchorage or Juneau to Vladivostok.
This question is unanswerable as it’s asked. You could potentially travel around the world for nothing. Try hitchhiking and stowing away.
That sounds like an answer to me, chula.
Wow, thanks for being completely useless!!!
But it is unanswerable. There are too many variables. Are you trying to use surface transportation as much as possible? (I’m including ships and boats in this.)
It would likely be much cheaper to fly around the world. But if you’re stopping and starting so much, you run into all sorts of questions about arranging ship departures, paying for lodging, food, etc.
