Maid of Stone (what used to be Ramblin’ Man), at Mote Park in Maidstone. It’s one of about a dozen festivals we’ll be attending this year!
I have to change my work on every 6 months, I get emails from IT Support a month before hand. They email every day (including weekends) reminding me that they’re on a countdown to locking me out of all campus services. It’s best to change the password when I’m on campus so that it synchs with all the systems I use, but I like to leave it until the last possible day!
Good to see you back again, and good to hear that all the family drama is just about over for you. Good thing you’re retired, you’ve got time to be busy!
We had a fabulous weekend away. We spent a lot of our time at the music festival, and spent our late evenings with our friends catching up on stuff. We were also able to co-ordinate ourselves sufficiently on Sunday night that they picked us up after we’d finished watching bands (they’d been at charity pub quiz) and were back in time to see the last quarter (and extra time) of the WC Final. They’re big Spain supporters so it was a bit of a tense time for them.
We left their house mid-morning and got home in just under 5hrs (should have been 3.5hrs) due to delays, congestion and the pesky Dartford Tunnel. Didn’t help that 'im indoors misdirected me three times before we’d even got anywhere the Tunnel…and then confused himself on a couple of other bits of the diverted homeward trek. But we’re here now, I’ve unpacked, laundry’s on, cats are fed and I’ve paid the catsitter. She messaged early asking if she should put the keys back through the door when she left but I missed her message so she said she’ll drop them off soon. Hopefully we’ll get to see her in person to thank her properly for everything she’s done.
Time to hang up and washing, and then catch up on the rest of the news!
