How often do you change your sheets?

Just what the thread title says.

Every Saturday, come Hell or high water… especially high water.

Every other Saturday, which also happens to be laundry day. I own two sets though.

2 times a week, unless something happens to get them dirty [and I am specifically looking at the damned cat who decided to eat a mouse on the bed a few days ago …]

We are also in the habit of showering before bed typically, which I think keeps the sheets a bit cleaner. I feel ooky going to bed dirty :frowning:

I said every month, although it really depends on the frequency and types of activities that have occurred or may occur on said sheets.

I sleep alone on my bed so there’s no sexual bodily fluids to worry about. I change them every couple months, I’d say (more often in summer, less often in winter). I’ll change them if I spill something on them, but it just doesn’t seem necessary to do it more often than I am. If I had a boyfriend who slept over, I’d probably do it weekly or every 2 weeks.

Yeah, the “how many people are sleeping in the bed, and what other activities are taking place there regularly” datum is significant in this.

Every two weeks, but I sleep alone mostly.

Exactly once a week, every Monday, I don’t care what’s been going on or how many people are sleeping there. Clean Monday sheets are one of the great luxuries of life.

I’ve found that if I don’t change them on the weekend, I get caught in the “when did they last get washed?” confusion, so this makes it easier to keep track.

Whoops, I think I picked the wrong answer. Once a year, if that. I usually just crash on my futon without a sheet, just a blanket and pillow, if that mitigates my slovenliness.

I have people, well a person, who takes care of these things for me.

I’m a dishes sort of guy.

Every laundry day, which is usually once a week. Sometimes I’ll go two weeks between laundry sessions. Before the kids were totally potty trained, there were times when I might have to change one of their beds a 2 or 3 days in a row.

Roughly every two weeks, although as others have said, this may vary depending on the type of activity going on there.

Good heavens, I am the one of the ones who says every few months. I shall hang my head in shame. I swear, I am not really slovenly! Honest!

About once a week, but sometimes I may go as long as two weeks. I generally sleep alone, but I like that “clean sheet” feel and would be grossed out to go longer than that. In fact, I think the cleaner the sheets, the better the sleep, at least for me.

Every 2-3 weeks, generally. Sometimes it is much more often than that though. (Cats apparently LOOOOVE to hack up hairballs on the bed. Fuckers.)

Sorry, but “once every few weeks” is fuzzy: once every two Saturdays. If I’m not going to be home on Saturday, the bed gets changed the last time I make it before leaving.

It’s the rythm we got when I was growing up, with five people in the house including a boy who wet the bed regularly until he was 11. Two beds = full load for the washer and clothesline; that Bro’s linens could easily fill two more loads in a bad week.

I sleep alone, and in jammies except when temperatures manage to climb and stay above 35C at night - and even then, it’s panties and an overlarge T.

You regularly-changing people must really make messes in your bed!? I’ve never been so proud to be a neat and tidy person. Once a year is overkill for me, I’m so clean and tidy a sleeper.

Wow, I am shocked how often some of you change your sheets.

We shower at night so we go to bed clean. I cannot imagine crawling into bed with my wife and both of us being dirty from the day (and we have desk jobs). Thats just nasty.
You (morning shower only) people disgust me.

I sleep with clothes on and, um, only myself in the bed. I change my sheets about once a month for the smell, but really, for me it’s like asking how often you change the fabric on your couch.
