How often do you guys get haircut?

Every frickin’ week? I’ll bet you stop going that often when you start paying with your own money.

I cut my own hair with an electric clipper, and even at that I don’t do it more than once every six weeks or so.

When I was a teen I’d let me hair grow until it was down my back and then shave my head at home, that was my pattern for a long time.

Once every 5-6 weeks or so.

Every two weeks.

Every 3 months; I also cut it with electric clippers at home; some think this isn’t the best way to cut hair but if you don’t have a fancy hairstyle it works (and it is free).

Oh, and there is certainly no need at all to get it cut every WEEK; hair only grows about half an inch a month (YMMV but that is average, I know mine is about 2 inches long before I cut it to half an inch), unless you shave it all off, then the 1/8 inch of growth is noticeable.

Every 8-10 weeks or so, hair and beard, and I go from this to this.* I usually get it cut as soon as I feel like it needs to be combed or ‘done’ in the morning or if I need to put it back in place if I drive with the window open or if I need to push my sideburns back down after I take my sunglasses off.
*I do my beard more often then that, but they do a much better job, so I let it grow out for a week or two before I go in so they can do it ‘right’.

Since the OP is asking for personal experiences, this is best suited to IMHO.

OP probably has a shaved head style.

Ideally, I get it cut once every two months. That is if the hairstylist follows my directions for what needs to be done with my hair. If they give me the standard haircut or one of their own, I may get it cut within a month or after several months, depending on the nature of the foul up.

First tuesday of every month.

About every 2 months. By that point, it starts to get long over the ears and down my neck and it drives me nuts.

Every three weeks or so. Self-inflicted buzz cut. Bought a good clipper several years back which paid for itself within six months.

I’m a guy with short hair, usually get it cut roughly every 6 weeks.

Every six to eight months. Get it cut moderately short, grow it out to moderately long, repeat. Pretty much my pattern for the last ~33 years. Very low maintenance :).

First couple years after I retired from the Navy, I got it cut once a year. Wife didn’t like that, though,* so we compromised on twice a year - sometime around Easter and sometime around Labour Day. I go to the barber shop on base and get a regulation haircut, and also get my beard and moustache trimmed at the same time. By the time I go in for the next haircut, it’s almost at the length I prefer it.

Not sure what the breakdown is, but it comes to $12.50 for haircut plus trim ($8.50 + $4.00?).

  • It was barely touching my shoulders at that point, but to hear her and her mother talk, you’d think it was halfway down my back.

I just might have to get my hair cut everyday

No set schedule. I can’t say why, but I hate getting a hair cut, so I only go when it has started to get out of control.

This. I actually shave mine with clippers every other day.

About once a month. Sometimes I’ll wait about six weeks before my hair starts to annoy me.

Usually once around Christmas, and once around Easter. Might get one in the summer if it starts getting too hot. Lately I’ve been getting it cut more regularly though, say once every 3 months.
