Guys, how often do you get a haircut?

Please provide ammo for a debate between me and my fiancé.

Me, I say he should get his hair cut at least every two months. His hair is longish, and it tends to grow out unevenly.
He says, going that often is for sissies, and he feels spending 25 dollars every two months is a waste of money.

So guys, how often do you get a professional haircut? Do you feel the prices in a salon are reasonable? Or do you prefer a DIY-haircut?
Does your girlfriend have a say in the matter?

Every 2-3 weeks. I do my own: a straight No. 2. It’s 5-6 years since I visited a barber.

I get mine cut about once a month for $15.

I should get mine cut at least every six weeks.

In reality, I go about every two to three months. I tend to forget about it until it really starts hanging in my eyes. Of course for weeks previous to that it looks dumb and untidy.

I pay $20, and usually tip the stylist $5. She takes about 30 minutes with me, so I don’t think the rate is too bad.

Haven’t had one since 2000.

Every 3 weeks. The prices are reasonable. I keep it under $20.00

When I feel like it, or when I have reason to. Last one was in May.

In an ideal world, every 4 weeks. In practice, it tends to be every six weeks. I go to a barber shop and they cut it and throw in a neck massage for 12 bucks.

I get it cut every 2-3 months when it’s colder, and tend to get it cut every 6 weeks when it’s warmer. As much as I prefer the shaggy hipster look, my hair is unnaturally flat and lifeless so I just end up looking like a big 6-year-old with a bowl cut the more it grows out.

Every 3-4 months, but then I’m growing mine out longer. I used to go in more often, then one day asked my stylist why my hair wasn’t growing out any faster, and she said “We don’t add any hair length with our scissors, you know. If you want it to be getting longer, you need to not come in as often.”

When I was in the military, every week to ten days. For the past ten years or so I’ve been cutting my own hair. I really don’t like strange people touching me, nor do I like sitting a barber chair listening to them prattle on nonsensically. No SO to worry about pleasing.

Every five or six years, on the average.

Usually, my dad cuts my hair (electric razor, no guard, so it’s very short) every two months or so. I asked him today to cut my hair soon, and after that I won’t be getting it shortened until winter is over.

Two or three times a year. Prices are too high. Girlfriend has no say in it, but my wife does.

I hate doing it, I dunno why. So I go only when it is so unruly that I can’t kid myself that it looks OK. Probably about every 8 weeks.

Years ago a haircut was two bits and I got one ever week in summer, every other week in winter and had a bowl of chili on the off week!
Now it’s when I’m told to.
Put reverse psychology on him and tell him not to even think about a hair cut till it is at least two inches past his hips.

HA! Finally! Got you beat. Try 1976 baby!
So, how much have I saved? Anyone?

I get a hair cut whenever the wife tells me too. about once ever two months. The worst part is the local barber shop went out of business after the owner retired, and not I get my hair cut not by a barber, but by a “Stylist” at the “Beauty Boutique”. Talk about an anti man thing, but hey Lynn does a much better job on my hair and trimmong my beard and mustache than old Fred ever did. I guess it is like someone offering you a breath mint, refuse it for safety, but go get one on your own from a trusted place because you probably need one… Wife tells you to get a hair cut…

Prob’ly every 3-4 weeks or so. I keep it short, and when it gets to the point where I get bed-head, I know it’s time to go.

Since it’s a simple cut, I can afford to let the Babe O’ the Day at Great Clips deal with it. I get a neck shave and some nice conversation along with it for $15 including tip.

every week or two. Whip out the butch clippers and take what’s left down to a universal length. I’ve got a 6 mm attachment and wish it were 3 mm, so I buzz it a lot.
