How often do you wake up in the night?

Good, not God. Good good good. I’m gonna fire my proofreader.

At least twice, and up to six times a night normally, and a lot more times than that on a bad night. I never ever sleep more than 4 hours without waking up, and usually that’s only after waking up every hour/every two hours earlier in the night. Once in a while I need to pee, but the majority of the time there doesn’t seem to be a reason I wake up over and over again. It’s been like this since I was in preschool, though, so I guess that’s just the way sleep works for me.

Generally I don’t wake up but get only 5-8 hours of sleep (used to get 8-12 hours). Over the past several years, I’ve started waking up between 4-6 AM quite often, but often can’t fall back asleep when this happens. Also, I take accidental naps during the day or evening which makes it harder to get 8 hours of regular night sleep.

I wake up every time the idiot upstairs crashes his toilet seat down, or drops his heavy things on the floor (no idea what it is), or slams the washer lid down.

He’s apt to do this any time of the day, but seems to prefer between 4 and 8AM.

Left to my own devices in a quiet place, I don’t wake up at all until morning.

2-3 times a night if I’m lucky. Nothing worse than waking up 30 minutes before the alarm.

Usually 2 or 3 times in the night. Sometimes, I’m awake for an hour or more in the middle of the night, and keep a book inside the pillowcase to read until I’m sleepy again. More irksome is being wide awake around 4 am on a weekday and knowing I won’t get back to sleep before I have to get up at 5:30; if that happens on a weekend, I can often fall back asleep after 5 am and get in another hour or so.

Usually once or twice at my house, three or four times at my girlfriend’s. Don’t know why there’s a difference, but it probably has to do with not sleeping at my girlfriend’s enough nights in a row to get really comfortable in her bed.
