How often do you wash/change your sheets?

Monthly works for me, I wear jammies and wash makeup off my face before bed. I washed them more often when I slept unwashed and nekkid. They also get washed more when I’m sharing the bed, which I’m not currently.

Twice a month for sure.

More often or as needed at other times. Like in the summer, we’re more sweaty so we’ll probably do it once a week. If either of us has been sick, we wash then. (It’s probably a moot point for sharing germs, but it’s our habit). Or if the sheets start smelling like sex, it’s time to do an early wash.

We have a few complete sets of sheets, which makes it easy to change them out even if we’re not going to wash and dry them immediately.

No need to brag, Rockefeller.

Once a week, with the rest of the laundry. We have several layers of comforters on top of the sheets, so the dog never gets the sheets dirty, plus we have towels by the door to clean her feet when it is raining. Every so often the comforter goes into the drier to collect the massive amounts of dog hair on it.

Generally, once a month, on the weekend after my period ends.

Weekly. I find that I can’t regulate my body temperature if I do it less often than that.

At least weekly, but sometimes twice a week, depending on the weather. The heat and humidity have started here, and some night the sheets can be drenched with sweat. If so, I won’t wait a week to change them.

Depends.

If I have a companion, then sometimes daily.

If I’m single, then it might be weeks and weeks (especially in the colder months).

Sadly, these days it’s measured in weeks.

Edit to add: I love the smell of my bed. Getting in on a cold night is heaven.

Once every one or two months.

I shower before bed, not when I get up, so I go to bed pretty clean. The dog is on top of the quilt, not on the sheets. Although she is fighting to get under there so I might have to start doing it more.

I change my pillowcase every week or two, though.

Hah! Well, we had one set included with the mattress (10 years ago), we bought one at a charity rummage sale for $6 and one at a garage sale for $10. That way we haven’t have to tap into our millions for the linens.

If I have a dog, every 3 days. No dog, once a week.

Once a month mostly although during a rougher summer it goes to more like every other week.

I’m sort of gobsmacked by how many people go two or more weeks between bedding washes.

I love clean bedding. And my smallest dog sleeps in my bed (and under the blankies with me, usually.) So once a week, or week and a half at the most. That’s for the sheets and pillowcases - 2-4 weeks for the blankets and quilts.

I was feeling disgusting because I used to wash them every week even though I shower before bed. Lately, though, I’ve been lazy and letting my cleaners do them every 2 weeks. Good to know I’m not the filthiest one here.

Quarterly, whether they need it or not.

Weekly because my husband has serious allergies and his nose starts to clog up if I don’t wash them more often. As much as I hate the new Energy Efficient washers because they don’t use enough water, I love the “allergen” setting because it washes them at a high heat for over 2.5 hours.

Weekly on allergy washer setting, at the allergist’s recommendation. It does seem to help my allergies. Before the allergist’s recommendation, it was about every 2 weeks, or more often if needed (excessive friskiness, massage oil, etc.)

I have an OCD friend who washes her sheets every day! She also scrubs her tub after every single bath.

Me, I specifically shower right before bedtime so I don’t have to change my sheets often. And I no longer have to worry about “Aunt Flo” sleeping with me so that helps out a lot. Sometimes, if I feel it’s warranted, I’ll change the pillowcase but leave the sheets alone. Usually, I wash them every couple of months.

Depends what’s been happening on the bed. But between my partner and me, his two dogs and my two cats, it could be every few weeks or more than daily.

Twice a month is our schedule but we don’t sweat it if we’re a little bit behind.

The longest I have gone without changing the sheets is about 4 months. But I was 19.
