How often do you wash your hair?

Every other day, unless I’ve just worked out and I’m nasty sweaty gross. I will shower without washing my hair. I grew up in a very dry area and my hair tended to dry out if I washed every day. Living in the mid-Atlantic, that’s not the case.

I seldom wash my hair more often than twice a week. If I wash it too frequently, it misbehaves rather badly. My hair is long and curly, and if I washed it every day I would look like a wild woman with the world’s largest 'fro.

I wash it every day, and maybe once a week, I’ll skip a day. I used to wash it every other day because my hair is so long and thick that it takes forever to dry, but I hate the feeling of oily scalp. I have really nice hair that looks best when it’s been freshly washed, so I give up a good amount of sleep time in the AM to do that.

Every other day, and I condition the length of it every day. On the weekends, I may go 2 days without washing it and if it feels oily, I’ll pull it up into a ponytail. My hair is very dry, and my scalp is pretty oily, which is a lousy combination.

I’m similar, but I only wash it every other day. On the “off” days, I still rinse my hair with the shower head, but do so only briefly and use no shampoo. Works great.

Oh, and male, 33, short and spiky.

About 2-3 times a week. I have lots of long, fine hair with significant wave and body to it, and the first day after I wash it it always looks flyaway and poofy, then gradually looks good by the third day, then is all of a sudden gross. Recently I’ve started using Jonathan’s Dirt on it, and that helps with getting the look I want in the earlier days, but it means I have to wash it about three times a week. I also can’t stand to have the smell of smoke in my hair, so I’ll wash it before bed if I’ve ben at a bar or club.
I love the conditioner that comes in the Feria hairdye boxes, and I’ve bought it on ebay because it’s the only thing that keeps my hair looking healthy in this much drier IL weather, and being that we have the hardest water on Earth in our well.

Very thick, coarse, wavy hair, an oily scalp and high humidity.
I wash (and lightly condition) my hair every night, then sleep with my hair wet. Generally it’s still damp in the morning and any kinks can be brushed out. I deep condition every couple weeks or so. I haven’t blown dry my hair or heat curled it (I have those little poofy tie things you put in your hair) for years and my hair’s happy and healthy.
