just curious as to how old the characters are supposed to be on teen titans on cartoon network. specifically raven but curious about the rest too.
Well, they’re supposed to be teens, but they’re actually played by animated characters that are in their late 20s.
Well, browsing IMDB, it looks like raven is voiced by a 32 year old. (So, if you’re attracted to her voice, I guess that’s ok)
Huh, Wil Wheaton voices Aqualad. Who knew.
Hi, My name is Folly, I’m 25, and I watch Teen Titans. sob
Hi Folly!
When the comic book started they were about 13, now their apparently in their early 20’s.
WAG: I’d say Raven and Starfire are 17, Robin’s 15, Cyborg’s 16 and Beast Boy is 13.
I’ve got proof! Send me $50 for Birth Certificates.
Well, in the comic books Victor “Vic” Stone i.e. Cyborg is 18 or 19, while Garfield “Gar” Logan is the same age.
No idea on how old the heroes with more than one sylible in their nickname, though.
Cite: My hat.
Off topic, but is it anyone else’s impression that Beast-Boy would be a bad-@$$ mofo if yhe had more confidence? He’s got some really great powers!
From my limited viewings of the show, I can’t figure out why Raven can ever get into trouble. So far I’ve seen that she can turn into some giant shadow thing that can travel through walls, she can move things with no regards to size, she can fly, and she can use her mind to look through other people’s eyes. She’s god-like in her abilities compared to the rest of them. Is this seemingly unstoppable power only evident in the show or is she like this in the comic too?
Cyborg, Beast Boy, Starfire and Raven are in their early-mid twenties. Kid Flash is chronologically about four. Speedy is 17, Robin is about 16.
Not familiar with the TV show.
BB’s 19. MIGHT be up to 20, but as of the start of the current Titans series, he was 19, and DC characters don’t age all that fast. He’s the only one whose age was mentioned in the Secret Files.
Comic Book Magic: characters get whatever spellls are convenient to the plot. This sometimes results in them losing vast powers or gaining them overnight.
She’s actually a perscription drug addict, and her powers are only “godlike” when she’s on, or just coming down from, a massive high. You know the real reason she always wears that outfit? It’s to cover up the track mark. Meditation helps keep down the shakes.
Her face isn’t that bad either.
Ranchoth, awesome.
smiling bandit, in a recent issue of Teen Titans Robin in an internal monologue notes that Beast Boy always seems to want approval. I think you two agree.
As to the OP, I believe Krokodil is right when it comes to the comics. As for the series, I get the feeling that they are on the low end (14-15) of the teenage spectrum. That’s just a WAG. Raven and Robin seem older because of their experiences (one’s half-demon, the other hangs out with the Dark Knight). Cy, BB, and Star seem younger because of their personalities. Then again they have relatively dark pasts too if you go by the comic cannon. Cy’s parents pushed him too hard. Star was abducted and mistreated, to say the least. BB’s story isn’t that bad, but he still lost his parents as I recall.
Ooops. I forgot about the part where not only Beast Boy’s parents, but his adoptive team was killed. Yeah, his past sucks too.
Lost his parents twice in the comics - the show’s not clear at all in how much of that history carries over.
His bio parents were killed in an accident. Then his adoptive mother (Rita Farr, Elastigirl of the Doom Patrol) was murdered (sacrificed herself along with the rest of the DP to protect an island - then turned out to be the only one who didn’t survive), and his adoptive father (Steve Dayton, AKA Mento) turned evil, and things got worse.
Just watch that she doesn’t pull out Tommy Pickle’s voice out when you’re making out.
Sadly, she’s married. sigh
Also, she plays Dil, not Tommy.

Not possible - at least for Cy and Robin. Both have to be at least 16, since both, as a friend just pointed out, drive (the T-Car and the Robincycle).
I’d guess BB’s about 15 or 16, the others are 16 or 17. Fits with Cy and Robin being able drive, the group being of about high-school age (as suggested by the methods Mad Mod chose to torment them), and BB being younger than the others (this last being as per the comics).
