Today at work someone said someone she knew had a baby at the age of 65, with no medical intervention. Is this possible? Did a google and couldn’t find any statistics on this. Anybody know? I though the old ovaries gave out LONG before that.
Well, here’s a story of a 65 yo Indian woman who gave birth in 2003. Note that this had not been verified yet. The previous oldest was 63, according to this article.
This one was supposedly conceived through IVF. It’s a bit harder to find the record for the oldest women to conceive the old fashioned way.

I can’t find a citation for it at the moment, but I’ve read that the oldest mother before the days of fertility drugs and implanted embryos was 57 years old.
Yep. Her name was Ruth Alice Kistler, and she lived to be in her 80s.
